Regardless let me expand on my point.
This is a post, randomly pulled from Google about BDO wars (removed anything from post useless to the point).
Before you jump down my throat with all the “don’t mess with my pvp” stuff listen up.
At the moment it costs pathetically low amounts of silver to declare war, and on top of that there’s no further cost to the war. What this means is that a big guild can easily declare against a small guild for the simplest reasons.
The cost of war declaration needs to be a lot higher, and scale off of the size of your guild.
IE a small guild vs small guild should cost like 100k to initiate.
Where as a large guild vs a small guild should cost like 20 million to initiate.
At the moment it is too easy for large guilds to abuse the system and squash smaller guilds over petty things. There needs to be more cost to the declaration of war, to make it more strategic, and mean more to the guild declaring. Otherwise you end up in a situation like on Orwen where the big guilds that span across multiple guilds simply declare against the little guys because they are bored.
I do and I am not disagreeing with you. I started playing long ago because this game was dangerous and it breaks my heart to see it turned into Disneyland.
The way the intellectual ccp interprets data from the past 10 years as evidence and with how they can’t even put labels on graphs and misinterpreting data ALL THE TIME, I’m sure that they INCLUDED SOV STRUCTURE BASH WARS IN THIS DATA.

And yes those alliances officially “are at war” and I’m certain ccp LIKE IDIOTS INCLUDE THEM IN THE KDR DATA
But why dock up? When I started we used to get into cheap cruisers and frigates and fight and had fun doing it. They game isn’t wrong, it’s the skill injecting mentality that is killing it.
Yes but if you are industrial you can have Workshops and “mines” and “fields” and noone can not attackt it and take it from you, the reason for holding a guild is to conquest the areas you have to defend and not oppress others for no reason. Whole system is set up differently and can not be partialy compared.
yeh we did too but back in 09/2010 you didnt have t1 logi and not everyone and their cat had logi alts - hs wars have changed drastically, its no longer filled with people who arent long from starting out; its people who have 100 mil sp a piece and several neutral logi - who also dont engage those cruisers and frigates if it looks even
There are of course exceptions, but not many.
Actually we (the corp my alt is in, that is) successfully defended our structure in hisec against one of the ‘usual suspects’ not long ago, with the help of some friends - we even managed to destroy a couple of the attacker’s ships, and they never tried again.
