All I can say is stealing should incur suspect status, always been like that so no idea why its free for all loots for these sites.
I even think those sites shouldnt even have that mechanic (loot spawning somewhere else entirely so that instawarp frigs can go get them before anyone).
Events have always been open to getting contested. Either for the final âbossâ and its loot or a container with the loot inside.
It can be really frustrating for the frigate site as it basicly comes down to who has the best ping to take the loot.
I moved on to the cruiser sites with me being in a assault ship of the empire space and a friend in a HAC. People have tried but I beat them to the extraction site and loot almost every single time.
Prepare accordingly and team up for the non frigate sites and it should be fine. Additional bonus is that you run the sites that much faster and for the full rewards when you are paired up.
Honestly, just join a null corp, and completely ignore all these events, theyâre not worth the hassle
I agree about âcontestedâ However, it shouldnât be a one sided contest. If a vulture warps in a fast frigate, grabs your loot, you cannot do anything. If you shoot them you get concorded. That isnât contesting the reward, itâs just taking it, thatâs the issue I have with it.
If concord didnât get you, you could fit a scram, web, and then it would fall under âcontestedâ, and then itâs may the best man get the loot.
As opposed to âyou worked for this now itâs his, itâs your own fault for not stealing loot from others insteadâ
