Does anyone run these sites in low / null? Is a recon ship viable?
I think its probably the best event we have had.
Different folks like different things and that’s a strength of Eve.

Just ran this site in low sec in a Pilgrim. It was real ass-clenching, esp. since I was fighting 3 battleships. Got a cerebral accelerator + 30m in loot after 20 mins of grinding, so not bad. Real men run event sites in low sec.
Do Nosferatus’ work on NPCs?
They should, so long as you have less cap or are in a Blood Raider ship
I’m lucky to get one spawn out if a fresh warzone site. And none are spawning around my home either.
Vamps do work. Not enough drain for much though. I have tried a few fits for giggles. On a VNI passive shield regen a med vamp is the only way I could fire ze lazorz hehe
My only issue with the event so far is the cerebral accel drops. The next site I do will be no 80… not a sausage from any of the 30+ Upholder class bs’s apart from speed/tank boosters and drone AI.
Today I ran 7 sites and the last one had three spawns and finally one acc. I stopped there for the day. The market price drops down to levels where it’s not worth the effort, but I will probably continue with the daily quest.
There is something wrong then, you claim to have very frequent drops I don’t have any at all. It has nothing to do with RNG. Are you doing it in hisec?

i didnt jump to high sec for this event, the site frequencies in null sec are garbage
ive seen maybe 6-7 in my area. since it started and ive done them all myself or with 2-3 friends. they just dont spawn and when i get one theres only been 1 wave in the last 3 of them.
i dont get why that low sec system has 30 of them and i get nothing in a system people pass throuh alot. should be triggering them more often
This may sound silly, but I had great results with exploration loot after returning from long hiatus. As if the chances were calculated for account and good loot was a kind of bait for doing more exploration.

The first day I ran about 100 sites and ended up with 7 accelerators, I used one and sold the other 6 for 250m (Back when the price was still 300m each.) Now I’ve run another 150 sites and only gotten 1 accelerator, but I just used my insane profits to buy up enough accelerators to last me all month at 100-120m each.
Boring as ■■■■ event, but I made some isk, and got some skillpoints and it wasn’t an event for newbies, so closest we’ve had to a successful event so far.
First and last I got in day one before patch. Farming 150 sites is lose-lose situation for everyone, price already decrease and doing 150 for that price is pointless. I’ll just do dailies to get last reward and buy some from the market. I don’t see the point of doing event. People seems to not understand that it’s impossible to have both cookie and eat cookie, can’t have high prices with frequent drops. Market will get stuffed anyway so it’s inevitable to lose income with cerebrals.

I think the break-even price is about 70M. So it’s better to sell them on the market and buy injectors for the ISK if you are for the SP.
For the record, with +5’s, a biology BY-810 and a accelerator, you get 3600 sp/h for 52h 40(ish)m
42 + (36 / 2) = 60sp per minute. If that’s still the formula.
That’s roughly 189360 sp for the duration of the accelerator.
Not a lot for the time/effort or cost of them currently.
Make the accelerators +20 and we are cooking on gas.

It’s obvious CCP don’t want to drop more often because they get RL money on SP trading. Silly me, and players keep chasing their own tails try to find cerebral…
