Isn’t it already changed that they will now warp in? CCP has the capability to do it (some of the previous events had npcs warp to sites) and if they haven’t already, yes, they definitely should.
Last night just spawns out of thin air with bad overview glitch i did not run them after DT.
If fleets of NPC mining ships can warp into an Asteroid Belt there’s definitely no reason the NPCs can’t do so in one of these events. The sound of those warp booms when I’m mining never fails to make me panic and reach for the Warp button.
And your exact time running the site comparatively to other opportunities for isk/rewards? No…the effort isn’t worth the payout, I agree the sites should be a challenge but the Agency system has never been a great format for rewards. Take rewarding PLEX when they did, you could literally run level 3 missions and make the same if not more, plus at least you’d also be getting standings increase.
Well tbh i’ve always been under the impression that cap boosters were primarily pvp modules.
That aside a cap booster implies a limited amount of time I can sustain myself within a site if I fill my cargo up with boosters. My drones generally don’t die and I don’t particularly like the idea of having to …eat batteries more or less just to participate in something.
I flew caldari and gallente years ago on my first account and when I made a alpha account in November I wanted to try something new so I went amarr so I wouldnt have to fuss with ammo. (plus sweet RP factor) I’m not an alpha currently but I can see how it would completely exclude any amarr alphas generally from having a hope to get through one of these sites even against the easier enemies and the game seems to largely favor missiles and projectiles all the way up to the machariel fleets which are what I’m told is standard for assaulting citadels now because of bombs.
If these NPCs tracking disrupted and missile guidance disrupted and were a general all around nuisance to everyone I wouldn’t have an issue with it but there’s no disadvantage for a passive missle/proj ship when everything is supposed to have a downside. They seem to get a free pass in generally all areas and yet here again after I just maxed out my cap skills and controlled bursts I’m capped out and dead in the water. These sites only having neuting could be considered a display of favoritism.
Always wondered why ccp never add missile guidance disruption to sanshas NPCs.
They generally are PvP focused, because PvP has more neuts (and Large cap batteries are worse for cap stability in bursts). But, out of interest do you feel the same way about ammo? It’s less constrained by cargo space, but if you run out you’re still screwed.
Then it wouldn’t affect drones and we’re still at square 1. Any penalty is going to affect one ship worse because one ship relies on that. Not defending neuts here, just interested in the reasoning behind it, so thanks for the feedback
Ammo doesn’t need cap though on certain guns. And let’s be honest, 500m3 of any ammo is going to outlast the equivlant in cap charges anyday. And as far as I know they target drones like other ships do now. I’ve just never experienced any crazy drone aggro myself as some people describe.
Anyway I edited part of my post. The noc ewarfare is outdated and there are holes in who gets punished for using what but by and large a passive tanked missile or proj ship doesn’t really have any counter IMO. I
If the sites was easier, they would yield even less iks/hr. Neuts, web, point is fine.
I run them with an active tanked armor Deimos with neutron blasters. I use 1 cap battery,1 cap recharger and 2* ccc.
That ship needs cap for both repp and guns, and still survives.
You cant just bring your active tanked serpentis 10/10 tengu everywhere, which is the way it should be.
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback so far. We fixed the dead site problem for sites that spawned after downtime today, and just culled all those affected from yesterday. Sites that have had the “Compromised Stasis Vault” spawn will now automatically despawn after at most 15minutes.
Additionally the sleepers, if spawned, will now warp in instead of the older “surprise we’re right here” spawning mechanic.
Not everyone can fly tengus or tech 2 cruisers though.

The Agency ones (tank, speed, damage) no they will not expire.
The Valkyrie learning booster only works until the 24th October.
The skins are a lie, there are no skin drops whatsoever in these, I’ve done around 70 sites so far, and not a single skin. Not in highsec/low/null/or WH space.

This feature generally is designed to make the event less accessible than simple “once a day”. Please consider removing timers. They dont offer anything for normal players. (normal means “the guys who have life outside New Eden”)

Clocked 6 hours searching for a site that was doable. Not one has had anything in it. This was through hs, ls, and jspace. Haven’t been able to check null but I honestly lost interest at this point. Seems broken as fudge…
