Was ganking ever buffed?

Nope, she does just fine by herself

I am not saying you are. I am saying that this is their classic argument. Argument that has been proved wrong in every MMO without destruction and EVE Echoes.

BTW how does these production stats works? Lets say I am building an Obelist in highsec (if that can be even done, if not for the simplicity lets just assume it is - this is just and example). I create Capital Armor Plates x5, thtats 110mil~, then other parts, lets say that their value is 1bil for simplicity as I don’t have chance to check out their prices. So I just produced stuff for 1bil, and then I burn this stuff and create Obelisk thats worth 2.2bil.

Does that mean I just added 3.2billion into the monthly economic report? Because, that wouldn’t be accurately showing how much value actually remained in economy…

And if I am guessing how it works correctly, then these numbers in MER are kinda uselessto argument with against ganking…

When the other side resorts to grammar, you know they have no other arguments…

Ganking is a dying profession. But then again, so is gate camping in low-sec. These groups are just hitting the low-hanging fruit… the newer players we’d generally like to stick around a bit longer before quitting.

Looks like it, but then multiboxed gatecamps are on the rise. And I wouldn’t say that lowsec gatecampers are only hitting the low-hanging fruit. There is not much counterplay to not get caught these days. You either have cloak and then you have a chance if they didn’t set the anticloaking garbage around gate, or you are dead. Perhaps you can survive if you bring bigger force than they have and fight them, but then they won’t be there because they have cloaked scout on the other side so… Lowsec is currently really inhabitable, there is no way to protect yourself against pirates who just won’t let you play at all if they spot you doing something in the system.

No I am not interested in weaklings who ragequit after dying in lowsec gamecamp or highsec gank. This game was never for them in the first place and players like this brings absolutely nothing to the game but ā€œfakeā€ PCU.

The demographic you are interested in, i.e. people who enjoy having hours worth of space stuff blown up for killboards or giggles while mining or travelling, is approaching zero. There are better games out there for both open world full loot pvp and economy and crafting.

The rationalisations that ganking provides a valuable service to the cluster by acting as a mineral sink are hilarious.

They don’t have to pvp. They just need to endure non-consensual pvp and the fact that you can be killed anywhere even in highsec. If they are not, they signed for the wrong game from the beginning and there is no point trying to keep them by catering to their needs and creating a 100% safe space.

Sadly you are right, even in this niche, there are better games on the market. Because CCP is going pure cash grab and is focusing on milking the existing player base as much ass they can before they shut it down I guess. They are adding more and more cosmetics stuff like skins and catering too much to nullsec (which is not even 50% of player base according to their own stats) instead of focusing on actually improving the gameplay and fix decade old bugs that I am 100% sure they actually keep in game intentionally because they know of no other way how to increase destruction (talking specifically about the bug where jump won’t jump and dock won’'t dock).

Why not? There’d be no downside for the vast majority of the population to disabling red safety for high-sec in general and maybe reintroducing the suspect flag for high tier abyss. The sadists can gank or camp in low-sec or null-sec, wars are still a thing, the stuff that miners and haulers and industrialists deal with will still get blown up or consumed elsewhere. It makes no sense to me gameplay- and lore-wise that terrorism in high-sec is somehow essential and desired because it creates…jobs? I mean, Albion exists.

Did you read this thread at all? It is full of arguments and examples that explains why you are wrong. I am not going to repeat all of that.

I didn’t see any sensible arguments, just something about grandmas and gankers being the noble keepers of the Charon price, thought maybe you had something to add as to why we need this in 2025.

When people say that I’m ignorant and use poor grammar, the irony isn’t lost on me.

You’re what’s wrong with this game.

Well said.

Why don’t you both play EVE Echoes? It has everything you want.

Except no players and broken economy. I guess why is that…

I’ve been here since beta.

I’m not jumping ship now.

Not interested in your straw man game, there are case studies that prove that having a zone without non-consensual PVP doesn’t doom the game to inflation and low player count or whatever your argument is, e.g. Albion with blue and yellow zones or Trammel in UO way before EVE was a thing.

It speaks volumes when one feels superior due to their ability to spell and form basic sentences.

Where, the forums?

Seems there’s still a misunderstanding about New Eden Mechanics.
It’s a Total War Economy. If the meaning of EVE is Everyone vs. Everyone., it make sense that either shoot or shot at.

Not if you bought plex for real money then converted it to ISK to buy the ship and all fittings you just lost.

Real money gone..

Ganking starts to get tougher next week, ganking fleets will have to start bringing 1-2 more ships to compensate and the salt will flow (as it always done when a particular play style gets a nerf).

Nothing will really change much in the grand scheme of things, though.

Shiny toys still get blown up - tears flow, gankers have a party

Just pretend Capsuleer Day XXII gave out mid-grade amulets to everyone instead of a two hours +6 relic strength booster and some stickers.
