CCP created the scarcity. Blame it to Ganking was one of the scape goat.
Because turning yourself into an even bigger piñata has not ever saved anyone, not when it comes to ganking. It only makes the gankers try even harder.
At the moment, I have two freighters:
Avalanche and Bowhead.
I also have a Deluge thatâs fit for stealth and speed. It flies at 10.35 AU per second and can do so while cloaked.
In addition, I have an Orca for moving Ore and it can take advantage of the large fleet hangar.
With the exception of the Deluge, all movers (including the Orca) have a over 500,000 EHP.
Just as easily? I doubt that. A freighter with zero tank will die more easily than any freighter flown by me. I know that this is Eve- no ship is ungankable. But âjust as easyâ is highly inaccurate. High Sec is all about beating that Concord timer. Thatâs it. Just survive until Concord arrives. A healthy tank is the way to accomplish that.
Iâm not blaming ganking - just stating what happens when you allow too much on free accounts. We already have issues with VPNs/VMs skirting the no Alpha/Omega mix. If you allowed red safety on Alphas youâd have 40+ multiboxed fleets running around everywhere in high-sec.
They brought 45 chars to gank a tanked Avalanche, and they brought 45 chars to gank a barely tanked normal freighter. Both die just as easily because both were attacked by way more DPS than necessary to kill either ship. Nothing in my statement is inaccurate
Zaera has excellent interogation skills - that was easy.
Depends on tank, skills, implants and system security status.
Who broke your spirit? You seem really broken. Someone really did a great job crushing your spirit. One ship dies and you throw in the towel and declare that itâs not worth trying anymore?
Sure! Bring it on! Bring on all the ganker ships! Let them take their best shot! If they win, fine, but I wonât ever stop doing my best to make them work for it.
Zaera, was this your work? Did you break him?
Iâm older than Zaera and you combined in EVE age. I have seen more things than your naive daydreaming wants to permit.
Providence | Wicked Keys | Killmail | zKillboard 560k EHP 46 chars
Avalanche | James Roy | Killmail | zKillboard 640k heated EHP (no idea about implants, naturally), 45 chars
Obelisk | KARLOST | Killmail | zKillboard 230k EHP, 61 chars
Itâs just one example that shows âthey die just as easilyâ. Whether you want to accept this, is not of concern to me. I do not want to dissuade you from continuing to merrily haul away in your ships. Thatâs what they were built for after all.
You and I have very different definitions of âjust as easilyâ. Our definitions will never match. Weâll never agree.
And the comparison was for a 200k no-tank high cargo hold freighter vs a near 700,000 tanked freighter.
That was the original comparison
Well, youâre not playing Eve Online unless youâve packed as many expensive ships as you can into a Bowhead for a 35 jump trip during wartime! It took me 3 trips to complete the move.
I donât give a damn about the threat of gankers. Itâll be a cold day in hell before I just sit in a station and stare at the wall!
45-61 Cats/Alts for one freighter. Poor Gankers. The percentage of the other freighters to survive are too high. Imagine 10 freighters jumps Gates at the same time.
By the way. Haulers can create comms for them to travel in hordes in HS in a specfic schedules. This game is fun really.
are those edible?
Lemming Stew
Yes they are, even you had to curtail your mining. You wound up hiding in a skiff in an 0.8. Thanks to me, you werenât able to mine in a Hulk in an 0.5.
Source?
None of the supposed alpha multibox fleet existed and after they disabled this, only a few casual gankers quit, not any of the multiboxers. It also made extremely hard for us to gain new players as new players play exclusively on alpha and trying the game and any content where they need to pay sub is out of question for them at first.
If the bumping ship is the warp in point then bumping, especially if it is done in a hurry like â bump that shipâŠweâll be there in 20 seconds â does run the risk of pushing the target out of range. When Iâve ganked, the tactic has been to have a âfriendlyâ and harmless little Venture creep slowly into useful range and act as the warp in point. Which is why, if I am mining myself, I never allow any other âminerâ within 10km or so.
For a solo ganker, a great tactic is to simply bookmark where a miner is miningâŠas they will almost certainly return to the exact same spot, and then dock up oneâs Venture and return in ganking ship.
Sounds like Glenduil fancies himself an âexpertâ.
