If a newbie doesn’t know that EVE University exists, its because they are too stupid to use Google search or Rookie Help channel. Those newbies deserve to get wrecked, and they can go play another game like Farmville or Tic Tac Toe (which they will still lose). If you care SO much, then you should join Eve University and you can fly around inviting new players to your corporation.
The lack of protection ATTRACTS players to this game - adding protections will REDUCE retention.
