The security status of the system doesn’t indicate a security risk?

Maybe you are just not very intelligent?

What kind of culture are you looking for?

When I look back at my reply, it’s straight to the point, debunks some common newbie misunderstandings, and contains helpful advice.

I’m open for improvement: is there anything I could have said different to make you feel welcome?

Culture?? In a videogame?? What game do you think has more culture?? Dota 2? Mobas XD? Warframe? Star Trek Online? Call of Duty? FPS games? You think these and more are culture you are looking for?

I guess Farmville and singleplayer games are the best for you. Best culture is your own culture

PUBg has good culture, but watch out, a lot of new players don’t realize that you are gonna get forced out of the plane, have to parachute down, and engage in a deadly battle royale. I would really hate for Mr. Rimmer to play PUBg and then come crying about how nobody warned him.

That is the core gameplay loop that makes Eve rather unique:

  1. Plan with what you know
  2. Prepare accordingly
  3. Try to execute
  4. If you fail: reflect, learn, go to step 0
  5. If you succeed: reflect and learn anyway

In other MMOs that are essentially a group PvE game this loop gets “solved” exactly once by one person/group and then disseminated forever as “the meta” and the game becomes really boring because everyone becomes “the clever guy” without having to have actually put in the above work failing. In a PvP game like Eve Online other people always keep you on your toes.

That loop is not for everyone, though. Some people absolutely cannot tolerate step 3 and think “Well I can’t be a failure, the game must be the one that’s broken”, but it’s really their personal expectations being mismanaged and unwarranted belief that the game must be played without ever taking things to the chin.

Sorry but GM IceCream, your last hope to fix ganking, is gone from CCP.

Now there is nothing between you and me that can avoid your bitter end. No one can stop us from farming/milking our noobs.

Enjoy the new era.

I was not replying to you.

Probably some sub-corp I have no idea about. AO has gotten a lot bigger since I joined…and I’m only involved in a small subset of its activities.

That said, ‘hard to get to’ is relative. I got some email last year saying I was in the top 0.5% or so ‘number of jumps’ that year. For me, 20 jumps is nothing…and I often do 50 jumps to places just for the hell of it.

Looks like you should go back to Nullsec sov.

You just did

Sounds exciting. Any luck getting ganked?

This is what EvE puts apart from other games. But you can also partly escape that loop with sufficient knowledge about the mechanics, which makes learning to play EvE that rewarding.

And applying RL common sense is helpful in any player interaction (you know, if something looks too good to be true …). You will also figure that Eve is very well balanced in general.

No warning? Common sense friend. You see, the Prophet knows your death isn’t the result of pirates. It is the result of your own lack of skill.

There are many. You refused to heed them.

Suffer? I did not suffer. I used what tools available, and availed myself of knowledge commonly found. My life in New Eden has been one of adventure, fun and profit.

Do not mistake your lack of skill for my own.

You are not. You are a shadow puppet with an agenda. Everyone wise in the ways of the world knows this already. You are not fooling anyone except those who share your warped views.

No, no you will not. New Eden is not for you. I suggest gardening.

It matters not. It is obvious you do not have the proof.

One wonders why you cannot handle life in New Eden, and turn to other electronic amusements to salve your ego. It is telling you play a fictional game where you can lord it over others. It speaks directly to your fragile ego.

Praise James 315!

Oh dear, you need to relax, perhaps gardening is something you should do too.

@Dracvlad I was only able to log to multiplayer twice. The first time I realized quickly that I needed some experience with the controls and the second time, today, I simply could not log in.
I always play Sandbox because Story Mode is still bugged, and I like play either Battania or the Sturgia.
What do you like most about Bannerlord?

Fifie & The Rapier

Githany tells me Gheth is dangerous…but I moved my entire fleet of expensive station bashing ships through there and nothing happened. All rather disappointing.

Why would I be a gardener in a war?

You aren’t even that. You’re a fictional little lord.

I have had similar problems with multi-player at times with login issues, but when you get into a good group with fun fights it is excellent. But I have played multi-player in all, about twenty times. The login issues made me sort of give up.

I tend to play Sturgia, but I often end up defending Battania because that is the hardest one to do as they often get dog-piled. I often play as a mercenary who recruits primarily from bandits and prisoners.

What I like about Bannerlord is it is exactly what I wanted when I first started playing computer games, a game with strategic and tactical depth and you play in the first person (or third person) on the field of battle with chaos all around you in the press. Being in the centre of a shield wall while being attacked by horse archers is pretty epic and never gets old.

And I should suggest to others here that this is relevant to this thread, which is asking what are we doing here, simply put you are playing a competitive game for fun, that is what you are doing, I found a better game for my fun, one that supplies the fun when I want it.
