My cousin by marraige told me of the fk-fk games and arse-hattery you could pull in eve. Both of us being prior US Army cant resist “stirring the pot to smell the stink” due to the experiences from real life. Also the military training does help a bit on fleets.
tl;dr
there is no pvp. just bubbles, gatecamps and TiDi’d F1-monkey pre-planned events.
I came for the big battles and stayed for the drama and shenigans.
I have been with Eve on and off since 2008, some dude in my wow guild told me about eve after a tense 2hr graveyard camp in wow. He said Eve was ten times worse and hard core and you needed a brain just to pass the tutorial. He told me most wow players could not grasp it and leave after minutes in some cases, I laughed at him said something derogatory. I promptly signed up just to prove a point and rag him in guild chat about completing the tutorial, low and behold he was not wrong, and I have been with the game ever since.
I used to play Jumpgate around 2001-2002 but was a bit annoyed how any occupation but shooting stuff was a second class citizen. Found EVE on a site about games in beta and joined because I liked the unrestricted world and market idea. Then time passed.
Someone told me it was a good game to waste money on, so here I am. Being recently retired, I got too much ching not to waste it. 1 day old character you say, but several mill experience points .
The game seems easy enough and fairly active for an online game. I hope to find some enjoyment from it. Multiple clients running at once is also a thing, I can be my own army!
gud to c u back more disciplined now?
