What do you miss about Eve that is now gone?

While technically true due to starter packs you can not buy sp for real money in any quantity. The steps involving in game isk remove all pay yo win elements from it, I can go and buy sp on the market without ever touching my credit card if I want, and I can not turn my credit card into sp without someone being prepared to sell them to me. (starter packs excluded obviously which are not significant).
Sp is also not an advantage the way you are trying to portray it.
And pay for progress is not pay to win. There is a difference and your inability to recognise this does you no favours.

No, literally right now you can find that sort of gold ammo or unique advantage in games.
Also 20 or 25 years ago? LMAO…

Look, you just keep demonstrating actual ignorance here of facts. You can have opinions that’s fine, but when it comes to facts you are straight up wrong on your information. Until you actually accept that there is a difference between Pay to win and Pay for convenience, and that actual pay to win games still exist, you are dealing with an alternative universe that isn’t real with your arguments.

Yes you can. There is nothing what stops you from it except market availability.

That is not valid argument because this is how pay to win also works. You buy indirectly in game currency using plex. And market availability is just forced invalid argument which has nothing to do with feature being pay to win or not. You could have single powerful item available on market which buying would provide huge advantage and if you would have an option to buy it using real money instead of in game currency exclusively that would be pay to win too because you cheat other players who had to earn it through gameplay.
The fact of being able to buy something for real money and also earn in game doesn’t stop it from being pay to win. Time is money. This is crucial part which you simply fail to understand…

Yes it is…it is as simple as that.
Since you have such a problem with understand simple arguments I will talk to you as to 5 year old kid. Here is example:

Two players who played EVE before similar amount of time create new characters. Both players have similar EVE knowledge and skill. After couple of days they reach certain , roughly the same level of SP. They decide to have 1 vs 1 fun pvp. In properly designed game chances of win in this situation would be around 50/50 assuming they use valid ships/builds.
But… one of those players secretly buy plexes and exchange them into ISK , then buy 5 mil SP for his character.
Simple question: When fighting 1 vs 1 in above scenario, will that other player with significantly lower SP notice anything being wrong? Will that fact of having 5 mil SP more will affect balance of the fight and make it feel unfair for one of players?
Answer is obvious but I am wondering what idiotic argument you will come up with this time

Yes it is, progress means advantage over other players who stays behind, your inability to recognize this does you no favors.

You talk about hard core pay to win in games which are not worth to even play at all due that. But you fail to understand that companies got smarter and hide pay to win nowadays. They started make it lighter, less obvious so people like you wouldn’t even notice. As I can see they are very successful in it…

I can say exactly the same about you. Do your research, then try to make any valid argument. Good luck with that…
Besides, I said that pay for convenience is often treated as new pay to win. I didn’t say they are the same always… again you fail to understand simple posts…

Alphas are worse because they get stuff for free.

Cheapest isk on the block!

What i miss in eve - The old inventory system, where it would remember that i had the ship hangar in one corner, inventory in another, cargohold in a third, and could drag between them, in and out of containers, without this annoying windows-folders-alike mess. Sometime while i been a way a few months, the inventory system became even more damaged.

Plonk !

Surely the idiot dev that forced the music changes has quit CCP by now.

His horrible choice to make us listen to the game the way he wants us to, should be reversed.

Put the jukebox back in, and let us listen to all 71 original tracks again.

  1. 45 jumps from Jita to Amarr ruins social aspect…
I meet many friends by traveling to different hubs,… if this was in place back then, I would have never meet them,… now everyone will just stay near their hub and not venture far because the travel is 90-minute round trip. Hard pass
Roaming looking for war targets between hubs,… gone because of this,… another nail in PvP coffin (CSM made this happen so they could go to high-sec in care bear safety,.they claim they are pvpr’s but want no part of small warfare… this is wrong on every level)

  2. Kill the CSM its a virus at this point it’s just null sec players that hate high sec, OR have high sec CSM as well

  3. The game is snuggly more and more by the day,… sad sad sad,… People that played EVE in the day were revered in the gaming community

  4. Bring back original Aura voice & Juke Box

It isn’t really gone yet, but just wanted to give a shout out for POSs. So much more fun to play with. They’re much more configurable and kind of has a city building minigame aspect, being in them has a cooler feel, we already spend too much time station spinning without upwells… And upwells just kind of feel too easy and safe to me. Kind of cool that POSs fight when you aren’t there too, making space a bit more dangerous.

The PoS was the apex of deployables in this game. Upwells replaced the pos mechanic with something not accessible to most players.

The ability to drop to different NPC Corps like Concord ^^
Was removed, because NPC corp standing losses, but I don’t know why they didn’t just remove those standing losses tied to shooting player characters in lowsec. Would be cool to be a concord member fighting against code or trigs…
Or a member of the Trigs or whatever ^

Original aura voice actor wasn’t available to do more work.
High Sec CSM members exist.

Abyssal PVP… old provings :frowning:

modular space stations

Mobile siphoning units. It was fun to actually “steal” from people. I know you can kind of do that now by just mining peoples moon ore in high sec, but I enjoyed stealing from the lowsec moons. Can’t really solo steal peoples moon ore in low or null, you’ll just get blapped.
