I created this thread in May of 2019 …2019 Guys! A lot of my specifics have changed a lot since I first wrote the message…but I do miss the days when Eve was a different thing.
Thank you for 2 ++ YEARS of thread feed back. If I were a Dev I’d consider it a gold mine…but thats just me, trust me
Thanks guys. Fly safe.

Niarja… Imagine taking a 3 year hiatus and then trying to do a trade run from Amarr to Jita and not realising that Niarja had been taken away…
I was looking at my AP and was super bamboozled…
I miss when the econ was different and battleships were CHEAP. Dominix was around 55M Jita price. It made PVP affordable and way more fun to just throw down.
I also miss the days before hotdropping was a thing and you just had to worry about that local spike being a gang jumping the gate to come get you.
I miss Rakovene in Previously Existing EDENCOM Fortress systems
that was the Reason i moved to one in the First Place
writes one paragraph then: tldr but then continues with 9 more paragraphs, lmao
Yeah. The thing is you can buy skill advancement and buy wealth by means of PLEX, but you can’t actually buy success in EVE with those things. Success in EVE relates to other things – being very familiar with how things work in the game and how to exploit them to your benefit. You can have a ton of skills and ISK and be really bad at EVE and get blown up all the time, really, get smoked in trading and markets and the like. So you can save some time by buying PLEX and skill injectors and so on, but you can’t really get good at the game that way because while those things help you get where you want to be in EVE they don’t make/break like they do in other games.
I don’t like the store more than anyone else does, and I’m not defending it – I wish it weren’t there as well. But “winning” at EVE involves a lot more than ISK and SPs.
YES! A thousand times Yes! Bring back live events!
The last live event I did that eve sponsored was them marching a bunch of hisec bros into null to get wasted by the locals. Made us jump 10+ jumps through TiDi in hisec to do it too lmao.
CSM was created in part due to various scandals involving devs/gm’s helping out their alliances behind the scenes.
The only thing the CSM did was give them cover to do it out in the open under the guise of “the players voice”
Oh-oh I need to share something I miss as I created a new account…

Here is the mail I got today:

Greetings Cash Cow,
Now that you’ve been a Capsuleer in New Eden for 5 days, you can start planning how you’ll get ahead and catch up with skills trained, wealth earned, the ships you can buy and fit, and - importantly - the activities in which you can take part and enjoy!
By purchasing the Bronze Pack from [EVE Online’s secure webpage] for $9.99, you’ll get 250,000 Skill Points which you can immediately apply towards the completion of any skills you currently have training in your queue! This is especially valuable for Alpha Clone State pilots who normally train at half the speed of Omega pilots.
The Bronze Pack will also give you 60 PLEX, which you can use to buy Daily Alpha Injectors if in Alpha Clone State, meaning a further significant boost to your skill training, giving you access to better ships and modules sooner. You can also sell the PLEX on the in-game market and use the millions of ISK you’ll get to buy better modules and equipment for your ships, increasing the effectiveness of the activities you want to take part in!
In addition, purchasing the Bronze Pack will allow you to stand out from the New Eden crowd by customizing your character and selected ships using the SOE Expeditionary suits and ship SKINs from each of the four great Empires, respectively.

Valued Rookie,
Sitting inside a pod somewhere in the massive universe of New Eden is a pilot anxious to fly again, even if their last excursion was just moments before you started reading this. Their thoughts wander, dreaming about the adventures that wait just outside the hangar gates. There is a fortune to be had, if only he could check the market or move some goods between the stations. There are wars to be waged, for both personal gain and the greater benefit of the corporation or faction. There, just beyond the common space lanes, are wormholes and the unknown with secrets waiting to be uncovered.
Let us help you help your pilot.
We’ve included links to some of the resources to help answer common questions and to help make your trial experience just that much more engaging. Read through them, prepare yourself for adventure and go blow a few things up in space. See where your journey leads you in the award-winning space-based MMO, EVE Online.

Notice the subtle (!) difference in communications?
I do
Yup typical cell phone game speak. It’s only going to get worse.
Oh man.
Not so subtle.
Time when Trigs didnt go brrrr on rookie asses.
Its obvious CCP wants new players to believe more SP and PLEX will solve everything, and with few more changes it will, sadly.
Ye olde POS towers for ye nomadic life style or ye GTFO evac ops
There’s kind of a gap between nothing and the current Upwell structures, both in deployment and cost. I know you can still put the towers up, but functionalities are lacking.

I miss the people I used to play with. The game itself is better than ever.
