What do you miss about Eve that is now gone?

Nope that would be horrible… No one wants to do that …

A static graphic would be just fine with me. I’d much prefer that than Jita 4-4 bringing my system to its knees upon docking…

They could even keep your own ship being rendered but in front of a static background image and still save like 95% of processing power.

I wouldn’t think it would be that hard to make it an option via a checkbox in the game settings. Those who want to see the inside of the station docking bay in all its glory, go right ahead. For the rest of us, we can check a box and get a static image instead.

I wouldn’t mind that. There isn’t anything much going on inside the stations at all besides the two weird drones so I don’t see why it should be fully rendered.

Named modules that were actually unique. Made the game feel like there were actually many different manufacturers for various different types of modules. Now everything is “scoped” or “compact”. For such a massive universe with different factions, etc. The lack of diversity in this area, especially at this stage of the game, is kind of depressing.

Getting some ships as a birthday present

Same here

What do I miss about EVE? Being able to play my 4 characters without somehow locking up my whole computer or developing epilepsy from the flickering citadel in null.

“When it was a niche game.”

To quote someone else.

I miss the Nullsec temporary Blackout. I enjoyed watching the panic and chaos when the Null Local was gone.

That we all have better things to do, better games to play than make any real effort in EVE anymore.

It just came to my mind: does anyone still fit “suitcase” to their ships? or this name has vanished in time?

I remember the exodus away from the game when that launched. Huuuge pop drop. Blackout didn’t last, lmao.

2009, static 1/10 and 2/10 plexes still existed. As a a low SP newbro, i could find a quiet spot, and farm these for a quick payout of c/b-type modules that could sell for 5mil+ a piece. I had enough of these to where every T2 frig i flew as a first year had 3 c-type mods fitted. Skirmishes ensued if i ran into someone in a lowsec plex.

30-day plex was ~300 mil, these isk gains were significant for a newbie.

Data sites had rats and probing has more cumbersome. I used a T1/T2 cruiser for these sites and had to launch a single probe in every system to check if any sites existed to start. There was less to no competition for these sites. The loot was more valuable, decryptors in high sec had buy orders of 3-20 mil each. Nowadays i can’t log in and not see probes or an explo frig out in the world.

Ninja salvaging for plates and bars that could sell for 200k - 1mil a piece buy order.

All of my newbie solo isk making strats are gone. Exploration has too much competition, less payout, and easier to automate. I resorted to services and pve grinding that require high sp to make isk now.

I miss something that I chose to give up. I managed to go 21 years without EVER contesting a site. When I’d land at a gate, I’d do a .1 AU D-scan, and if it was
occupied…I’d moved on.

Fast forward to two weeks ago.

With the lack of CDXXII sites, I finally decided to start taking them. So far, I have a 100% success rate. It makes me sad, but I don’t see an alternative.

So just delete carriers and no more multi-boxing them. Solved. If carriers have to be nerfed because they’re being multi-boxed (which was exactly why Marauders were nerfed), then just remove them from the game. There’s no sense in having a ship that’s 3 miles long get nerfed into the ground.

Honestly, I hate the idea of nerfing anything due to players using more than one account. all that does is encourage others to use multiple accounts in order to keep up. Bad juju in my opinion.

Anyway, I know it’s been said before, but I miss station walking.

Why? It consisted of one room, with a door that didn’t go anywhere…
