ECM actually working as it should, jamming the person so they couldn’t target you. Changing it to a taunt completely killed solo ECM. Also I miss ECM batteries on a POS when they actually stopped you targeting the POS stick.
ECM really was too strong at tis time. I mean, come on, everyone and his dog had the nearly mandatory ‘Falcon alt’… that wasn’t that much fun either.
So it needed a nerf, just not sure if the current solution is the best one. Maybe they should have just lowered the jamming time or make it so that the target doesn’t lose it’s locks, it just blurs the images and you can’t activate targeted modules, but you don’t need to relock once the effect is gone..

What is missing? Wardecs exist, Ganking exists, insurgencies exist… whats ther to miss except noob bashing by wardeccing 1 week old corps of newbros?

I miss substantial, game changing, expansions. I miss developers who had a bold vision for the future and who also had the knowledge, guts and will to make those visions a reality. I miss the old, brash CCP that wasn’t afraid to take a calculated risk from time to time in order to move the game forward.

POS Code was a risk and it payed off bigtime, because Control Towers are the only thing that still give hope for a modular starbase building system ever returning :3

EVE is not a name. It is Everyone Vs Everyone. Get your facts straight. It is a game that originally started out as a Nitch game and drew in a demographic cross section of players who CCP used to brag about.
It is now a shadow of its former self, sad to say.

As an 08 player, I miss the chance for any new player who wants to punch above their weight to feel the chill that runs down your spine the 1st time someone in your corp says “Goons” are coming. Back then, that meant something.
I will never be able to explain that feeling and what you missed.

@Lydra_Victor Glad you have sense of humor as this will get you much further in the game and have a lot more fun with the game. Still a shame you missed the early days. You seem a fit for those times.
And of all things, while I hated it then, I loved the feeling of community when a patch was announced, and everyone panicked and had to put in 2 day skill ques! Busting the Dev’s butts. Flying with them to show the problems real time.
So much lost, so much gone…
Edit: For the spelling/punction police who still make me spell chk everything.

I know that comes across as a dopey statement. But I wish you were there for flying with the original Dev’s. It took20/30 min for everyone to stop bitching in local and shooting their indestructible ships for things to calm down enough to show them the problems 1st hand.
It was the only time I saw everyone stop trying to kill each other in game to try and make the game better for all of us. Meh…
