What do you miss about Eve that is now gone?

The permanent ice systems in high sec.

Should have been fat, drunk and lazy. Meh…

I’ll take the flag.

Heeeey!

And a balloon that follows you around…

They nerfed that too eh? wow.

Ice in HighSec should only spawn in random anomalies (very small amounts, not enough to be attractive for a massmultibox fleet, but useful for active newbros in smaller ships) and some scannable ice signatures (larger amounts, better quality but players would have to actively search for them and be quick to move their miners and harvest them, before someone else does → small and active groups rewarded).

The fixed ice systems that respawn huge amounts of ice for massmultiboxminers that farm them day after day after day by the clock are a ridiculously stupid resource mechanic. The more that nonsense gets nerfed, the better.

If you say so. I just think there’s better ways then taking a reductive approach each and everytime.

Okay. Sure. Keep nerfing High Sec and buffing Null sec. I’ll keep dropping PLEX and selling it for billions. All you’re doing is turning High Sec into Pay to Win. While I’m sitting on my riches, I’ll watch ship and fuel prices continue to go up more and more and more. Inflation doesn’t hurt those that have the income to overcome it. I love PLEX.

And with this new Global PLEX market feature? I don’t even have to go to Jita anymore.

Since never in the history of EVE it was easier to make ISK, especially for newbros, Inflation absolutely doesn’t matter. People painting this big scary shadow of “inflation inflation!” on the wall since I begun playing that game. And it never mattered much, since the ways of generating ISK always outpaced the price increase of things. Especially the usual daily-business ships and items are absolutely affordable these days.

Nobody talked about “reduction”. The total amount of Ice in HS can stay absolutely the same. It could even be increased. But it should be in locations where active gameplay (aka searching, scanning and securing them) is rewarded. Not mass-logging in your own altfleet of 20 Hulks + Orca in the ever same system, timed by a clock and farming away huge static icebelts multiple times a day by the same guy over and over again.

So not true. But amusing! Ships being 2 or more times the price they used to be, ice being an anomaly now instead of a permanent structure you could mine forever 24/7, etc… So not true that ISK just falls from the sky for every High Sec player. Good laugh though.

I heard ganking is easy.

You could do a few ganks and then have easy isk.

Absolutely true. I do it. Despite living in WHs, I have HS alts that print money. Often more than what I make in JSpace. Because HS content spawns endlessly and you hardly need to care for hostiles, so you can almost effortless repeat whatever content you like, for as long as you like, almost any time of the day. Nothing easier than to make billions each month in HS. Single-Account, not even multiboxing needed.

Im speaking to the general idea that from the outside observer - what your community accepts as feature updates and expansive ideas, seems to be a long , long chain of nerfs. It actually began in my time when carrier ratting became a cardinal sin. Then they did the moon mining changes which really upset the nuance of null sec…then PA CCP took over and besides abyssals - which are indeed rather enjoyable, many many of the ‘features’ - blackout, the industry changes (just wtf) and a whole slew of combat changes = they’re not additions = they’re NERFS.

To the uninformed outsider. Yes. For someone who actively plays the game, not so much.

I’m a long term veteran of this game, and a former large community manager. I’ve organized more CTAs and Sov Defenses than I care to discuss with you.

People who might play the game, but do not play - still have a voice.

In fact - there’s a whole server worth of us in exile.
