What happened to the "High Sec Expansion" we were promised?

but what is this creature? CCP don’t know who they are, that’s why the recent failure. I read on CSM minutes on how council see spaces other than NS, one of the answers was a staging points that will lead players into NS. CCP still seems to follow that tunnel vision.

So with this latest nullsec change (the moon mining), I picked up some uncommons with ubiqitious secondaries, in the expectation that evap/silicates would not be mined sufficiently to keep the price down, and I was right, and now CCP is going to trash them, by putting both ubiqs and ABCs onto highsec moons, where people can afk orca them.

ie this change actually affects my wallet, but I am not lobbying CCP to not do it.

So just like you are about to get moon goo lite, you got sotiyo lite (fobs), just like before that you got anomolies lite, and deds lite, and unrateds lite and belt rats lite, and belt ore lite, and ice lite and relics lite, and data lite, and you even get gas sites in certain regions too.

Given the current developers penchant for reuse of things, I would very much be suprised to find any new nullsec content won’t also be developed for use in highsec. All the old content is.

npc titan.

/thread.

its a belt rat

and still HS don’t have those.

You most certainly have belt rats. and belt rat commanders.

“you” ? you can go check there too, there is no NPC titan in the belts.
no officer either.

BTW no ABC in anoms either.

and no ded10.

and no ghost besides limited.

and no FW site.

and no L5.

and of course no sov.

Highsec has commanders. it as ore anoms, it has deds, it has ghost sites - neither null, nor highsec has FW sites, and neither null nor highsec has L5s. and yes it has sov, its all npc sov.

I said they don’t have titans and you say “yes, they have commanders”. Open your eyes. I didn’t say “commander”, I said “titan”. It is not a mistake, there is a reason why I used this word and not another one.

You distort things just for the sake of ranting. Grow up. HS has no titan, thus there is content that is not present in HS and yet present in null. the fact that they have commanders is as much relevant as the fact that you can fly spaceships in HS AND in ns.
HS does not have sov for players, so same.

same for all the things I listes. Just because they consist in flying a space ship with rats and get resources does not mean it is the same content.

Its you that decided to have an absurd argument over definitions whilst ignoring the substance of the post.

There are no metrics for determining who is their least loyal, least active, least social customers, at least none that have been published, as far as I know. I could just as easily say that the players in null security space are the least loyal, least active, least social in the entire game. In fact, I would say that. What are you basing your assertion on?

There is no argument, you are making unrelated sentences to avoid the substance of my post.
You are completely missing the point : there are different gameplay in NS and HS. Just because they have similarities does not mean they are the same thing.

We are still not debating all of the things that are actually in highsec as well as all nullsec (which is pretty much all of the content), we are just debating your special definition of belt ratting.

There is no debate. Titans are not in HS, that’s the anwser to “I still need to find something in null not in HS”.
being belt rat or not is not the argument. They could as well being flying sausages, they are not in HS and so, specific content/gameplay is in NS and not in null.

Your only argument here is “they share similarities”. THIS does not make it the same thing.
Now your can reformulate your initial statement to give an explicit definition of what you expect ; but if you want different gameplay, you have, simply because the rules are not the same.

Nope, you’ll just have to accept that I disagree with you. A belt rat, is a belt rat.

Nobody said the opposite. What does this add to the topic ?

FOBs are run by one fleet it seems. RW is not run almost at all. It doesn’t matter CCP did it for HS, if its not used it may have never existed. They could all go on a vacation and skip a cycle as well.

Wouldn’t NS ppl be here ‘whining’ if they would get an expansion full of features which no one would ever use?

Just some more suggestions, off the top of my head:

  • you can’t light cynosural fields in high sec (but they would be quite convenient)
  • you can’t use bombs in high sec (not that you’d want to, mostly)
  • you can’t use bubbles in high sec
  • you can’t use micro jump field generators in high sec (No reason this one should be disallowed.)
  • there are no pirate faction missions in high sec
  • there is no arkonor, bistot, crokite, any of the fancy ice ore in high sec
  • no moon mining

I’m sure she’ll have a excuse for why this is all fine and reasonable.

Yeah I could have answered “try to sabre gatecamp in HS” but this would have made more words in my initial sentence. “Titan” was just more concise and obvious.

moon mining are coming soon©CCP. Well, some part of it.

Highsec is literally getting moon mining, with ABCs and ubiq moon ores in it within weeks. That has even been posted into this thread already. I’m not going to accept an argument that running an L4 for a pirate faction is a substantially different thing to running an L4 mission for an empire faction.

The rest are player tools, and not pve content.
