Actually I haven’t met one pilot yet. I am still reading about the game and doing the career agents. I do not have a lot of time to dedicate to a game.
I chose EVE Online because it’s a sci-fi MMO and the kind of play will allow me to be online when I want to so I can manage my time more easily.
Today is Sunday and I still have things to do for the coming week.
I rarely visit that question. I know what I want and am determined to advantage myself over some ideal I will never live up to.
Change for the greater good is nice but I would have to understand the current situation before I could support any kind of change.
Ah yes, the permits. Another strange kind of roleplay from that gankers corporation. The subject was brought up in corporation chat. Interesting to say the least.
I will give it some thought. I don’t discriminate based on anything, least of all their preferred gameplay.
I’ve long stated I had zero interest in PvE and might just as well log off and play Homeworld. I want any ‘storyline’ to be little more than a backdrop. Where we may differ is that I get more contentious than that…
In fact I have zero interest in ‘grind’ as well. Why would I want to grind when I have real life wealth that can substitute for that grind time ?
Of course, that always brings out the ‘its not fair !’ people who object that the game should not be decided by rl wealth and they start talking about ‘red lines’. BUT…disparities in rl wealth are equally reflected in disparities in available grind time. Why is it any more fair that one person might have half an hour a day to grind while another has 10 hours ? Why is time wealth disparity fair but money wealth disparity isn’t ?
Incurring consequences in game. For example, so and so says something that pisses off party A.
Party A brings about a war on so and so’s corp…
Can also happen on the market.
It can also being about issues with joining corps
So people create forum alts because they are afraid of the consequences of spewing their nonsensical dibble and the repercussions it may bring them in game.
Could RMT also be causing Eve Online to continue to slide like a person being dragged down into the pit of the lame by those who don’t like sci-fi? Societal stereotypes of people playing games such as Eve Online could also be double tapping the sink.
Thank you for your suggestion, Kaely. But I think there is something deeper to it, something that we’re not seeing, something we might not want to see or be able to.
I don’t think it is fear and I don’t think that everyone who uses forum alts are clinically insane. Something is not right with this picture and I feel it will take more than a cursory surface search to find the cause of it and It may be the key to unlock the cause and the reason why EVE is dying.
