What is Eve Online?

Must have been an experiment on his part.
I’m sure I would physically get ill if I spent that much on pixels, lol.

I have a lot of extra money I don’t know what to do with because the government has an injunction against me making babies.

Is that a euphemism? Like a new way of saying that “you have a nice personality?”

Hmm. Or perhaps you’re being serious, and it means something worse. You know what, feel free to ignore this comment.

Nope. If I recall the story correctly, it wasn’t the huge electrical bills they minded so much as the way Destiny wouldn’t disclose how she was sourcing the parts.

According to the court documents, it’s because I “present a clear and present danger to life, human decency, and fundamental fabric of social order and progress.”

I think I posted about this before, but the reason why I started playing EVE so young is because they attempted it as a novel form of cognitive therapy when nothing else was working.

Well I started playing EveOnline because i was never the sharpest pencil in the box.

The sharpest pencils are the ones getting filed down to the end of their lifespan the fastest, so I wouldn’t say that was all bad.

Gaming in general is a time sink that is easy to become absorb in it where I am sure that there are other activities to make better use of my skillset.

Anyone for that matter, time on this planet waits for no man or woman and I am sure if each and everyone of us thinks had we competed the goals even those tiny ones once set ourselves yet?

Speaking philosophically, it’s your life to live. If you honestly believe there’s something that would lead to you feeling more fulfilled, then yes, you should probably do that instead, but at the same time you have to be careful not to fall into a trap of doing what is logical and reasonable at all times such that you end up having not done any of the things you enjoy.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with playing games as much as you like if there are no other situations that require your attention. I would not want to spend my entire life on games, to be sure, but I doubt I’d want to spend my entire life without them, either. Moderation in all things, I guess?

Which very much leads to the discussion on mobile gaming or even the early stages of Eve Anywhere is or could be in the right direction as it allows a person to not be locked down to a desk and still enjoy New Eden and the likes of what this game has to offer.

I can’t really say. Mobile technology isn’t my field, and I’ve not taken to it too well, myself. I like my desk and focusing on one task or game at a time without distractions. That said, I do not presume that what I like should be the only game in town, so to speak, so whatever floats folks’ boats.

Sometimes, though, people are extra hard on themselves for taking time out of their days for a bit of fun. I don’t think people should feel this way. Optimized lives are for robots, not people. We need time for practical and frivolous things. The practical things to stay alive and well, and those frivolous things to actually live as opposed to just survive.

I just don’t want you to feel like there’s something wrong with enjoying your game time, even if there is something more practical you could be doing instead. I probably didn’t need to say as much, but I’ve known people who feel guilty when they do anything for fun instead of trying to ‘succeed’ in life, whatever that means, so it bothers me a little when it looks like someone might feel that way.

Is it working?

“You don’t have to run faster than the bear to get away. You just have to run faster than the guy next to you.”

Instances of indecent exposure have been cut by half, and murder by over ninety percent.

by half thats pretty decent.

My brother had a kick where he stopped playing games. He was all like [read in your best stick in the mud voice], “it’s a waste of time, when you could be doing something more productive.” Then he got a good career, a wife, and a family… and now he’s back into video games and legos. Of course, he doesn’t have the free time that he used to, but he no longer regards it as a waste of time, and tries to play when he can.

The chances that DC will murder you are low… but never zero.

I feel bad for Dracvlad if he ever meets DC xD I joke obviously.

I had been told about the two parallel lines representing change with goals, ambitions even expectations of one and another as both progress through life together. These parallel lines sometimes will move closer and also move apart and it can be the slightest change in hobbies that can cause these lines to distant from one and other.
