That’s what BR’s are designed for 
I know this intellectually but having lost a few ships to a instalocker gate camp in the past I’m still a bit gun shy.
BR’s are relatively cheap. The build my hauler uses is ‘only’ 150M with nothing really shiny on it unlike her DST. Losing it would hurt but if the run pans out it would be quite profitable in both directions.
When I first started I was dreamy eyed when looking at a talos or orca.
I’m stuck as an alpha for a while, but I now have aspired to fly an Astero or Stratios, very sexy.

None anymore, I got to every ship I aspired to, then they got nerfed…in one way or another.

My biggestnlove in New Eden has alway been hauling. I bought my first mammoth days into the game, masodon- first day in the market, prowler i bought the day I lost that Masty.
Then the Fenrir. Had to buold it myself, took ages but I still have her. Came back from an extended retirement and there was the Bowhead. Built her too.
So my great love is covered. But for combat The ship I use is the Vagabond. The two ships I want ro try are the Vargur and the Nag. Havent worked up the fund or the need yet, but more than once I almost pressed the buy button on the market.

Right now, my aspiration would be a T3C, mainly a Proteus. Not only to fly it but to fly it well, develop all the skills needed to IV’s or V’s. The tank this ship can make is unbelievable and the DPS it can dish out at the same time is nothing to sneeze at.

Right now it’s a Hel. Not so much because i think it will be in any way profitable or survivable but because there comes a time when you have to see what the fuss is all about. The sexy factor is strong also

I glanced at it but was under the impression the Proteus would be overtaking the Tengu in terms of usefulness after the changes were made. So maybe no more 200K EHP prots around but still should be a formidable ship.
Yeah i agree, it’s a good change. I will miss my 200khp prot tho…

Eventually I would love to fly a Maelstrom because thats a battleship that commands a presence and had the balls to back it up with the right hardware. I would though consider for more practical purposes go with a covert ops so i can ninja my way into hi tier wormhole relic sites. I have no real desire to pilot anything higher in classification due to the belief you lose your cost effectiveness when going super.
My corpie racked up a lot of nice kills in a Dramiel in Hagilur and Amamake in Min low sec. Solo, and he was new to PVP. That was in 2011 though, don’t know if the ship has been rebalanced since.

I want to steal a nyx just so I can go on a solo roam with one. would never buy one, but if I happened upon one I’d probably yolo it. aww who am I kidding I’d flip it for isk.

Vendetta and Revenant just for shits and giggles mostly and now I dont need to have a holder toon to store/stash them. Always saw holder toons as waste of a toon and SP.
Theres no real ship for actual much use I would want to skill into that I havent used or still have to train for.
I mean if we’re talking about just ships we aspire to fly…pretty much any AT ship, or a Gold or Silver Magnate.
If we’re talking about ships we aspire to be able to fly well…probably a Drake.

I’ve had several ships I aspired to fly, which I have achieved. Been very happy with the SOE and Angel ships. One day I may end up in command of a Nidhoggur. Despite all that, I’ve had the most fun in small ships and I guess I really aspire to fly the T2/3 small and medium ships as well as I can.
Already flying the Rattlesnake and loving it . It’s an ISK printing machine for my alpha characters created for PVP activities.
Capitals is goal i am postponing continuously
Also MiG 29 or such without much electronics basically to just sit on unleaded kerosene tanks and pass out from adrenaline overload.
