Ive taken down far bigger liars/farces than any of you, many times before.
This is not an issue for me. You just make it worse for yourself.

Way to troll an otherwise very interesting thread
@EveDataRules do consider posting on reddit the data (and other outlets)

Again, simple solution to start with⌠Filter out all kills with a cyno module equipped from the dataset. This should eliminate the majority of cyno alts. I very much doubt new players train cyno skills and equip one in the belief that random capital help will come their way.
And most cyno alts know how to get to there destination without being killed to camps. Once you eliminate those, you should see the truly new players getting killed in nul.

this guy is either the biggest twerp on the forums right now or a really funny troll.

Itâs not at all. It doesnât change the title one bit.
You can look at the data as a superset containing both new players and alts.
As a superset it still contains new players and the title is perfectly fine.
The argument about how many are new in which parts of space is meaningless, since the data canât determine that, so we donât know. It could be filtered to remove cyno alts, but at the moment it hasnât been, so we canât draw a conclusion about that.

I donât see what the fuss is all about really. Has anyone else tried to present any kind of data supporting a side of the argument? I personally havenât seen any besides what CCP Rise did at Fanfest?

No unfortunately. People validating their opinions on the forum is a rarity. Personal interest seems to carry far more weight here.
It even trumps CCP data and other data presented by players. No matter what is presented and in what context, people that donât like it will argue against it.

Certain people refusing to answer whether:
Do you think the NS new character attrition stat in the graphs is a result of a majority of genuine new players, or extant player alt new characters.
So much twisting, turning and spinning, even though it asks only it they THINK it is one or the other.
Ayy look
THE SAME QUESTION THAT WAS ANSWERED 517 TIMES ALREADY

It has not been answered even once, let alone 517 times.
As far as I am concerned hereâs no way to know either way. This is just the best data we have. Satisfied?
Thats an âanswerâ but not an answer to my question.
Which do you think the majority of that NS attrition on new characters is?
True new players?
OR
Alts of extant players?
That is the question.
Any answer would be a guess. Fact is that there are new players in that data. If you can separate them, I canât either.

There is a third category. Old former players returning on a new account for whatever reason.
However yeah⌠your instance that people blindly guess which category is the majority is just silly.
I asked which you think it is.
That it would be a guess, is given.
That is included in the second category, of extant player alts.

Seriously, this is getting quite hilarious how hard some of you are fighting such a simple question.
Why is that?
