Where are the positive changes though?

I’m not complaining, you asked me a question, I gave you an answer.

It’s not a case of ‘Let CCP do their thing’ it’s a case of CCP will do their thing regardless of what anyone says here.

So not a resource sink at all then. considering right now there are plenty of systems with multiple keepstar.

AT like ships, more power creep since they are specifically powerful ships.

Planets are already terraformed, and not owned by us, nor do we have the generational timescale to grow realistic pop growth. Also power creep of income since if I build an entire planet then I get an entire planet of passive Income.

EVE is not at Dyson sphere tech levels.

You’re such a bore and just argue for the sake of argument.

Are there no conceivable sinks? Vanity items are not necessarily more powerful. Not every expensive thing should necessarily be power creep.

It’s the principle, more sinks vs nerfs. People are rarely happy to be nerfed, having more options for spending is much better.

Yeah, sinks are better depending on the type of sinks.

Sinks that give advantages are not good. With the amounts of isk some corps/alliances have it’s difficult to see them parting with it if the sinks have no advantages. To be clear the good sinks are where you purchase something so you have a choice to buy or not to buy and they offer no advantages.

Vanity items that aren’t power creep don’t create a large sink, because most people don’t bother with vanity items that are expensive. So they don’t make a good large scale lever. If you only need to adjust things by 1% sure, vanity items might work, but the scale needed now is simply too large for that.

Agreed

Maybe they should introduce a 5 trillion isk monocle. I expect someone rich enough would buy it just so they can show how rich they are.

Wonder how lava and plasma planets are already terraformed and are still covered by lava and plasma, guess they went under the surface, oh wait… Alright, there may be sky cities like in SW5. And you don’t need to turn every gas giant in the universe into earth-like habitable rocky planet, i get it.

According to this link Eve Source tells there are 70 trillion people inhabiting planets, moons, stations, etc throughout the Empires… throughout the Empires… throughout the Empires

Planets in Empire space may be terraformed and not owned by us. But then, there is lowsec which is not so much Empires already, and null, and WH space, right?

Anyway, I’m not proposing they make what I have said. I propose the principle. Those may not be the best examples of massive vanity sinks. And I agree people would prefer things that give them an advantage. But so far no massive corp and alliance wide vanity sink exists, and you can’t claim there will be no one to use it.

Would you care to show how they are ‘mythical’ and don’t exist?

Depending on server load/assets needed, ideas for vanity upgrades for systems and stations, not to mention ship skins, could be done where only minerals could be used to pay for them. Increase the size of the billboard at station or gate? Pay for upgrade with minerals. Want a corporate ad playing? Monthly ad fee paid with the same minerals. Change the color of the station lights, seasonal station add ons, ship skins, etc all using large amounts of minerals to pay for it.

The monocle proved there is a market out there for fluff, just have to adjust the currency used to pay for them.

There were, then they got sun-mined for being non-existant.
