I recently had a post in this section closed by a moderator for “Advertising” when it was simply letting players know about a new in-game channel they could hang out in.
If that is considered advertising, where do you go to let people know about endeavours to boost community activity?
I did this. The ISD unlisted their comment citing the “Advertising” and instead stated that closed topics cannot be reopened and will be removed if done so and I can no longer respond to them.
Not exactly sure what you mean they unlisted their comments, they can unlist threads to hide them if they are violating the rules but not even sure how they could “unlist” the private discussion under a notification.
Either way it seems your appeal was rejected on the grounds that what you did was deemed to be advertising so nothing can be done about it.
If you really feel this was unwarranted maybe you can open a support ticket about it. That’s the only and final option that I can see.
But honestly if the mods confirmed that what you did was wrong according to the rules then not much chance anyone above them would think differently, but hey maybe there’s like a 1% chance or something.
In the upper right corner of the forum is your profile picture.
Click on it to see a list of your notifications.
Among them will be one for your thread closure.
Open the notification and in it you can reply to the notification which is the private message between you and every moderator.
You can handle your issue there or via a support ticket as clearly the mods don’t want to reply here probably because there is a rule against openly discussing moderation is my guess.
If you have actions taken on a post, you’ll receive a message. You can view them from your main profile page, its https://forums.eveonline.com/u/<your_username>/messages
