Where too next?

Haha, I have seen that video before and I can sort of understand him, having had a boss who was from Glasgow at one point.

But in reality I was talking about doing something a bit more of a challenge, where you don’t min/max, he can do level 4’s in Stain which are good ISK based on the implants, the other possibility is of course going after officer spawns. And there can be small group content and even solo content.

Meh…

The Glaswegians Ive had the fortune of knowing are thrifty and pick up pennies, then blow it all on the weekend

Then on Monday they promise never again, with a throbbing headache and bender hangover, till it happens all over again.

As a Finn, I feel a strong affinity to Scots. Love em. And they have a far better sense of humor than we do. Scots are unofficial honorary Nords.

If I had a choice to be reborn, Id be glad to be born Scottish.
Id certainly have more fun than being born a Finn

The constant invasions 9th to 13th century by those from the norther reaches probably has a lot to do with that. As a dweller of Dalriada I also favour the cold, the brew and the aquisition of danegeld.

I also got accepted to study law in Aberdeen.
Norwich was excellent in its own way, but I sometimes wonder if Scotland had not been a better choice, not only but especially because of how much more sense Scottish law makes than English…

I really dig Scotland and the Scottish.
I may well one day end up over there to build a future.

I’m glad you ‘took’ that with understanding. The video very well shows a trivial scenario of a pilot stance in NPC 0.0, which not doing piracy only. Let’s drop a beacon to mark the difference between stances while you’d like to catch somebody (call it PVP) and to perform some PVE content, even mining. Even in a bling beast ship, we need from 10 to 25 mins to complete any kind of PVE content there, right? Every PVE content there will became impossible and annoying, while you’ll be Probed constantly. I’m posting this, because I’m permanently Probed even in Low-Sec, while I’m on my Gila or Loki by some suspicious rookie pilots. It’s hilarious… they should pray I’ll get DC during this time. For 60 mins of available time for EVE, you’ll just have to deal with gankers, campers, Probes, Bubbles and etc. NPC 0.0 issues are well discussed. I’d like to live there for a while IF there will be more systems, more links between them and more stations.

Missions or another activity available there will be very limited due to two-three available NPC stations in entire region with a 70% probability being insta-locked by a Tornado (or whatever thing can be there) after undock. Stain is a very isolated region, surrounded by regions with the most violent status due to Dotlan. How many haulers will like to perform your delivering contracts to Stain btw? It’s hard to determine the identity of those plethora of explorers there - or they are true neutral or they are somebody scouts with tackling and cyno stuff…

After all, there is another, more hardcore NPC 0.0, - Serpentis. Square up and move to Serpentis Prime (Fountain - Phoenix). It’s hard to mover around there even in an Interceptor. Yes, Serpenti’s habitants tried to catch my Interceptor many times. Bubbles, insta-lock camps, empty systems which can be invaded by foes instantly anytime. Last time, as I remember, those systems were heavily camped by GangBangWhatever there.

You just miss a big load of exclusive content you won’t get anywhere else. Are you really sure you are not interested? Maybe try on an alt first if you fear your reputation might get damaged

It is a challenge, the idea is that if you have lots of ISK and are looking for something that is the real Eve then trying to operate in such regions is the fun part, sometimes earning even just 5m and not getting blown up is one hell of an achievement. The fun of Eve is competing against others.

I could tell the player how to operate, but part of the fun is to develop your strategies and tactics to do what you want to do.

@Ima_Wreckyou - yeah I know that leaves out a lot of content, I chose it partly as it isnt my way, I feel that is just messing up someones enjoyment of the game maybe not so much piracy or merc activities but certainly scamming and ganking, in saying that you could certainly get rich ganking people and yes it may even be fun in a perverse kind of way, but wrecking someones game doesnt sit right with me really, perhaps those thoughts would change if I tried it, catch 22 really.

@Dracvlad - I have enough isk that I dont have to max activity for making money

That is what I assumed, the thing is ISK generation gets more boring when you min/max.

Maybe it’s time for a break then, a couple months off should make you want to do stuff when you come back

@Annah_Tsero - I am taking more and more breaks from the game, there was a time when I was on it maybe 6 times a week, now more like 3. Its difficult to step away from completely, I get an idea in my head and want to pursue it  its quite addictive.

@Dracvlad - I think that was why sov null bored me, all most people want to do is smash sanctums and havens and it just gets dull and tedious after a short time. I am going to see if I can use my main to help my alts do the cosmos missions and maybe try the epic arcs on my main, already finished the Gurista one.

OP states as “Not into scamming, piracy, merc type activities.” In those kind of regions is hard and time sinking to play other way. Anyway, a solo play (out of private corporations and fleets) doesn’t mean you can’t fight, compete, interact, have conversation with other players as MMORPGs states.

Epic Arcs can be a kind of game refreshing content, different from tedious and monotonous style.

OK, the cosmos missions didn’t really happen even though I got most of the items in the shopping list for the Amarr Cosmos missions I underestimated the grind needed in order to get the required standing to finish the set of missions and I’d forgotten just how much of a grind grinding was.

So me and all my stuff is in high sec, near Jita and I’ve tried to go off and do things solo today, some combat sites, some exploration into low sec via wormholes and well, it’s all a bit dull. Whether this is because I am on my own or whether it is something else I do not know.

One thought did occur to me is that most of the corps that I’ve been in lately I have actually ended up doing things alone there, but there is always corp or alliance chat close by if I needed it, a bit like a comfort blanket I guess, but aside from that most of the corps have been PVP centric. I wonder if an industrial corp whereby people are working as a team for a common goal (although what that goal would be eludes me) would be a better place for me.

Ultimately I don’t know until I try. Perhaps it IS a case of needing a break, or maybe finding some people who are more content creators (I’ve never been great at creating my own content). But I am more convinced it is a state of mind thing that is hitting me atm. 53 days till I need to sub, I may take the next few weeks off (although will log onto the forums) and then reassess with fresher eyes

Sounds like a good goal, and will certainly be a challenge even with your background and assets.

I think for you though, best option might be just drop some isk on a small ship/fit stack, and hit Faction Warfare. You will probably lose the entire stack without one kill, but you will have fun/thrill doing so.

Fly around cheap, and sink your teeth into anything that looks tasty.

What classes of wormholes did you experience? A PVP corp in C6 or C5 space is much different then a Corp in lower class space.

@Salvos_Rhoska - just left FW to be fair was with gallente, good corp but, and i’ll admit I find this difficult to put into words, when a corp or an alliance is mainly PVP focused a lot of people go do their own thing and only come together for fleets. The fleets were OK but ultimately dont really satisfy me, we either got blobbed, or we blobbed others there is little fun in that, But I am happy to go PVP, but find a good solo fight is few and far between.

@zander_exvirus - I’ve been in C2, C3, C4 and C6. I was too green for the C6 and left after a very short time. WH life is challenging or can be assuming you have a group that do things together, I think that is the bit I am lacking, the goal, people joining up to hit that goal, be it make capital ships, Citadels etc and least that is what I think I am lacking, it’s not escaped my attention that it could all just be me

C5 and C6 are known for their isk, but also for capitals. I would argue its much more intense then the other classes. I would recommend trying it again, but with a small gang corp, and go out and PVP. Nothing makes my heart race more in video games then a good brawl, were every ship counts.

If you want a corp, mail me in-game.

Plus 2bil/hr is nice

2b an hour is indeed very good and thanks for the offer but I don’t think I want to go back to WH space, least not yet.
