Where's the carrot?

Adding even more restrictions to the missions in that regard goes against the non-consentual PvP sandbox. Adding a ton of ship restrictions just turns mission locations into another version of arena style “safe” PvP.

Only if you dont exploit the options you do have.

Though gates that allow nothing but the mission holder, those would be a bad thing.

No, it’s safe PvP, and, to some extent, safe PvE.

If someone is on a mission that is cruisers only and smaller, then there are at least 2 entire classes of ships they don’t need to be concerned with on d-scan, and in fact could just set up a “level 2 mission dscan overview”.

It’s one more step towards complete segregation of PvP and PvE, and is thus a bad step in regards to the health of what is supposedly a sandbox.

They need to drop the restrictions on the current ones (and get rid of the burner missions), and change the boutnies/payouts if they are so worried about people farming them.

Maybe why do some put so much effort into complaining and/or generally trying to be difficult on the forums of a game they don’t like and no longer play? At least I’ve never understood that.

Except gates forbidding entry to all but the authorised user already exist, so if thats what they want, why wouldnt they make them all like that?

And if you are farming Level 2 mission runners, whats wrong with using cruisers?

They have no or little social life outside of the online realm. If they had, they’d be posting on a different forum …
… or meeting with friends, etc. Fair to say they might have friends, but it’s probably not a sufficient amount.

Also fair to add that they might be posting on several fora at once, but I doubt that in general at least.

What binds people to online places is the social environment.
It’s a place where you can talk to other people.

Why are you posting here daily?

No one dscans in his mission unless it’s outside of highsec …
… and even then there’s not much of a point to it unless you keep sitting at the warp-in.

Your argument does not seem to support your point. I have little doubt anyone is ever going to bother with invading anything below a level4, too. Even if, there’s nothing wrong with warping into a mission with destroyer restrictions in a destroyer and people often enough use ships smaller than battlecruisers when baiting mission runners.

I fail to see your point.
Please elaborate and share some of your experience doing this.

You must have a pretty amazing level of access to CCP’s game logs, or did you pull that out of your MWD?

It’s curious that you’re so agitated by the idea of merging mining and missioning in general which would move towards mining being a more active, not-afk, activity. You spend hours bitching on the forum about carebears, often subtly intimating that people who fall into that category are somehow cattle that not only have no place in game, but have no value to society in RL, yet at the same time, you attack anyone who proposes solutions to the problem.

Keep on trolling, apparently it’s the only thing you’re good for.

Didn’t know I have to put you onto the list of assholes.

No. It’s common sense. There is no need to dscan in mission pockets in highsec. If you believe otherwise then please share your experience, as I’ve requested.

Where was I agitated?

Reread my post …
… then reread your post …
… and ask yourself who’s actually agitated.

I disagree with your post. I didn’t ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ into your cereals.
Assuming anyone in highsec is dscanning in missions in highsec is extremely far fetched,
because there’s no ■■■■■■■ need to do it. Not doing it doesn’t decrease survival even one bit.

Explain your point, because it makes no sense …
… or react like a ■■■■■■■ carebear pissed off because someone questions him.

Where did I do that?

What problem are we talking about here?
And where did I ■■■■■■■ attack you?

Reread my post.
Stop being an idiot.

There’s already a good share of that. Dreads and Titans that drop on belts and moons. Diamond rats competing for belt asteroids etc.

and then asking for all your stuff

There was absolutely never a time where EVE followed the WOW model. Or do you mean because of the braindead PvE?

It definitely needs work. NPC’s are still bugged. Was helping the trigs attack some drifters and the triglavians turned on me and vaporized me. Was great fun. Basically some of the only safe ways to engage is through sniping ships such has Oracles or Nagas.

As someone who did high-end raiding in WoW, I can attest that the hardest EVE PvE content doesn’t compare to even the easiest WoW raiding content in terms of difficulty. Everything in EVE can be distilled into an N+1 solution, and no one truly needs to think in the group. The only way to make EVE PvE difficult is by artificially handicapping yourself, such as by running high-end sites alone in setups that push the limits of efficiency.

Knocking on WoW is a funny meme, until you realize that it actually offers more engaging gameplay than EVE does. EVE’s only saving graces are the open-ended social interaction, and the market/economy.

It’s not the saving grace, it’s what EVE makes great and sets it apart from all the other games. It’s hart to find any other game that even remotely compares to it in this aspect.

The PvE in EVE is absolutely awful. I mean seriously, it’s the worst, most boring dumb gameplay ever. The clever thing about it is that it seems to attract some special type of people who then fill the world with helpless targets. I don’t think this was intended, but it worked out great
