That is great. But it looks like you are also impervious to common sense
Investing in crypto is like gambling, is far away from common sense.
Au contraire, care bear! Not investing in crypto is like gambling
No, its not taking part in a gamble. Which is already a win. You will never see bitcoin producing something, you can anly hope someone in the end will pay you for that which have no intrinsic value, like with any form of currency. And nobody guarantees your bitcoin will have any value, in time people may switch to something which will give them more emotions. Leaving you with bags.
It is not exactly āgamblingā - since the outcome is not chance-based - it is psychology/sociology based.
What if I told you Bitcoin is as real as Triglavian shipsā¦
āNegativity is not honesty, & cynicism is not intelligence.ā

Chance also is psychologically based and sociologically based,
because, sociology also also contains 30% psychology and 30% anthropology.
So what is gullibility?
Itās not listed, why donāt you ask the author,
RenƩ Ritchie.
gullibility can be interpreted as a negativity, and a dishonesty.
To make someone gullible by dishonesty and fraud.
To be cynical about gullibility is not intelligence,
however, it is of a lower level of intelligence, even after death or before death.
The same for those who try to coerce others by cynicism, by being cynical towards them.
cynĀ·iĀ·cal

All vices are negative by the way.
Only virtues can be positive.
I think you meant Lionel
Iām gonna listen to you 'cause your grammar is on point!
Lemme see, just on top of my head.
Currency impervious to political manipulation and obfuscation by a central authority. This might have no value in the eyes of Americans who ignore that they are on a planet with other countries and that in several of them the money supply is in the hands of political agents (masquerading as economists), autocrats, and actual lunatics (see what happened with Gadaffi). For people that the American government have managed to train into blindly trusting into a financial instrument that has less than 100 years in its current form, I can understand why you wouldnāt see any value in that. Venezuelans understood it, and I suspect that the Dollar is next (you will be able to thank Joe Biden for that real quick).
A proper market for currency, unlinked from national interests and instead linked to use cases, unlike the Dollar, a currency doesnāt need to be at the same time a referendum on the US governance and a tool for international exchanges. Cryptos can be configured and optimized to serve one use and serve it well. And supply and demand, and competition, will ensure that only the one that best fill those use cases succeed. Again, for Americans who have been trained into thinking that suddenly 100 years ago, people suddenly knew how to create a perfect currency and how to manage it, so they have no need for competition, only thing that was needed is to get rid of that pesky Gold Standard, Iād understand why you wouldnāt get it.
What else, obviously escape from central and autocratic control. Actual ā ā ā ā ā ā ā privacy in an era where we have to live with the freaking NSA. Again, for Americans who have been trained to go on with their lives despite a giant freaking eye watching your every moves and just ignoring you for now, I understand why Privacy wouldnāt really have a value, but again in several of the countries on this planet, that freaking eye observes people before crushing them! Sure some bad apples will get to transact, but if it is to ensure that every day people finally have a say in what they want the world to know about them and what they want to keep to themselves, for me itās an acceptable cost. The moment the common person realizes that, you guys lose. And I can already see that happening as thots and hookers are starting to accept cryptos. So for once you wonāt be able to punish or forbid the transaction, you will have to worry about the reasons why people are doing it instead of moralizing and punishing, you will have to punish the act instead of punishing the person or trying to play Minority Report and try to stop the act before it happens.
And thatās only some of the surface level arguments, there are some really smart people who are working in the field and there will be even smarter people coming in as the years go buy, again like the Luddites you only see the first iterations of the tech and you think you have figured out already what it can do.
In any way, again you guys have already lost. I was myself surprised by it, but there is a clear use case that gives the tech value as in having something that cannot be replicated by any other form of currency, NFT Art. I can already hear you think āI can just go buy a painting with my dollarā, and if you actually thought that, Iām sorry to break it to you but you are set on the Luddite mentality.
And even if that didnāt happen, it was only a matter of time until some form of token be linked with something that is only available on the net and that people desire. I was going to again say that you guys lose the moment that happen, the moment people need the cryptos to get something they want, and that no amount of Dollars can get them, but that moment has already happened lul.
And we are only in March!
Again and again, watch this year. Only regulations can throttle it, and if you think people in the crypto space are not watching those (as I do, and no Iām not worried), you are just projecting stupidity on people you clearly donāt know.
Have at it. Eventually we will see who was right.
Except it is not true. When China will attack Bitcoin and every other crypto will be deemed vulnerable, and only one currency will be safe, that is China currency backed by their network and government, you will probably not even remember this thread, it will be so insignificant what we wrote here.
You obviously have no idea who the Luddites were or what they stood for. In this situation, it is you that is more like the Luddites
You are definitely hopeless.
And donāt worry, Iāve seen Luddites in software engineering, āJavascript will never be a thingā, āJava is just a fad.ā You are in good company.
And I will say it again, you do not understand the tech, the problem it solves (duplication of ownership), and what it can do.
But thatās your problem.
Cheers!
Statists and Central Planners want to destroy a tech because they deem it deceitful and dangerous, and it takes away their āexpertiseā as money suppliers.
Iād suggest you actually use your brain when throwing accusations at someone, thanks!
I will
Howās that?
