The people writing the laws you have to follow have decided that buying drugs on the internet is illegal and will consider the fact that the overwhelming majority of bitcoin purchases are illegal drugs on the internet when writing laws regulating the use of bitcoin. If the US decides to make bitcoin itself illegal because its sole use is illegal transactions then bitcoin is done and its value will crash.
The long-term prospects of bitcoin are poor. Bitcoin has existed for a long time and still seen zero mainstream adoption. The only people with any interest in doing business using bitcoin are criminals who donât have access to the mainstream financial system, businesses that can take paypal/credit cards/etc have shown zero interest in bitcoin. So why would any rational person believe that this is going to change and that bitcoin will magically see significant use outside of criminal activity?

You gotta be hella blind not to see what is going on. The U.S. has more people in prison than any country today or ever in human history. The U.S. government is an oppressive regime with a smiley face. It oppresses its own people and calls that justice.
