Why Do We Even Have Forums?

If you care so much about where CCP posts, you can start by not being boring, and stop making people laugh whenever they look your name up on zkill.

Mechanics are boring, idea and features on mechanics should not be trolled in a properly run forum.

CAOD should be like Reddit and a real free for all. So who is being boring, the trolls trolling people over mechanics? That is boring mate! Tediously boring. But trolling each other about their alliance in CAOD is fun and can be epic if it was allowed by CCP of course.

As I said most people have no idea what a games forum should be like and that includes sadly the person responsible for this forum, because if he did, those trolls would be banned from the features and ideas section of the forums and be encouraged to go to town in CAOD…

@Davlos I noticed that you are refusing to reply to this post, is that because you are just full of hot air mate? Or is it too boring for you?

Hi person who is good at nothing but losing stuff in hisec.

Its not my job or duty to entertain CCP staff.

No one has issue with them reading through the player-moderated cesspit that is r/EVE for giggles.

The issue is where they do post and respond, which should be on the official/moderated/paid for official forum, here.

Not small enough…

Tell me what it is that makes you think you’re so much better than the rest? Do you even see yourself when you post all this sad, petty nonsense? Is there any life left in you, or is it all just a big cry out until you can cry no more?

If whining about hisec miner bumping or the continued screaming for full PVP immunity in hisec led to high-profile media articles about the game, you’d be justified about the lack of developer attention to your boring self.

Unfortunately for you, explosions among thousands of players is what generates the articles, which leads more players into the game. That’s where you’re boring to read about, and that’s why the real community (hi, MinerArt) isn’t here.

The argument from some seems to be that HS carebears post on EVE-O, and NS carebears post on reddit.

That may well be true.

But this isnt about where players post, its about where CCP staff posts.

Do you understand the difference and what it entails?

I bolded the relevant bit for your reference, but that’s cheap on my part.

You’re just irrelevant.

There are hundreds of communities within this game. To dictate that they only exist when you feel they are appropriate to exist is folly. Goonswarm does not only exist on reddit. Test does not only exist on reddit. CO2 does not only exist on reddit. Everything you say about “the real community” is basically “the community that I care about” rather than everybody that plays eve online.

Edit:
Sorry to every group I didn’t mention. I just don’t think anyone would read a full list of every major power block in the game.

Thank you for correcting me. Now tell me why you’re crying here so much.

Yes.

Because null is more interesting to post about, and that’s where the game is really played. CCP staff want to participate more in discussion about null, and for good reason.

I’m waiting for you to make good on your threat to email Polygon about what terrible people we are.

He is afraid of losing the Devs off reddit, where they can piss in their ear.

He is afraid that to any objective observer, it doesnt make sense devs post more on a player-run site, than their own paid/dedicated/moderated official platform

He is even more afraid, because the content and acts of player moderation in reddit result in a place that if an objective observer looked at the ■■■■ there, would immediately ask why employed CCP staff patron it more than their own official platform.

Goons have Jabber and their own forums, TEST happens to be a Reddit-based alliance with their own forums, and I can’t claim to know much about CO2. I’m the TEST anomaly in posting here because I’m genuinely bored.

The real community makes things explode and generates events which other people talk about. No one cares about how you’re only good at losing inconsequential junk in hisec. My cat could walk all over my keyboard and do the same.

He is afraid that his subjective views on EVE don’t matter. And he knows it, too.

Nothing to be afraid of.

I work in game development myself. If my project’s forums were full of boring people like you, but the related subreddit had better discussion I’d post more on the latter, too. It’s not that hard to imagine or figure out.

When a moderator’s post of “F*g” gets stickied and awarded 2gold stars, it raises the question wtf do they even have moderators for.

If a moderator gets stickied and awarded for that, then WHAT are the moderators even moderating?

The gilding (or gold stars as you call it) were not from the moderators, but other members of the community. Anyone could pay real money to give to any post they particularly like.

Just to spite you, I’ll track down that post and give it one more.
