While Eve is often being referred to as a “sandbox” it may surprise you to learn that it is in fact not an actual physical box.
When asked, you yourself stated that a Battle is not an action. On top of that, nowhere in the definition of content, contain or thing does it say that actions do or don’t qualify.
So, the question of whether a battle or other things created by players in the game can be content has nothing to do with actions or boxes.
I have so far not made any statements on whether a box can contain an action or not. Like I said: If you wish, we can discuss this further through private messages, but this does not belong here.
I suggest that you either come up with a proper argument for why all the players here as well as dictionary is wrong, or use the common sense you claim to have at your disposal and give up already.
No, I never said that. If you are going to go all Trump on me, then I know my point has been irrefutably hammered home.
It is exactly the dictionary that I have used in a proper argument laying to rest the ridiculous assumption that player actions are “content”, for the small number of ignorant users who proclaim such.
Well, no. It’s a game, not a box, virtual, physical or otherwise.
What this is supposed to do to support your point about the meaning of the word “content” in any way is beyond me. I’m starting to suspect that not only the meaning of words may be unknown to you, but the concept of logic and reasoning as well.
This you did not refute, and instead replied:
That’s why I could have taken this two ways:
you really consider a series to be an action, in which case you really don’t know how the english language works
you confirm my conclusion that you do not consider a battle to be an action
I opted to go for the latter, as otherwise I would have to accept that I am discussing the english language with someone who doesn’t understand the english language, which would be a silly thing to do. I am still struggling with that, but I may ultimately have to accept that you simply do not know what words mean.
If you are talking about the English language, then you should know that an absence of an affirmation is not a denial, and vice-versa. When you asked me if a battle is an action, my response was (as you have quoted several times), “It depends”. I don’t know how you got from that response to “you yourself stated that a Battle is not an action”, but that is demonstrably untrue. It is obvious that you have no more logic to offer and are resorting to disinformation.
Ahh, yes. Memes - that which passes for wisdom for Millenials. I guess the same logic goes for not “liking” your own posts. OF COURSE, I like my own posts. Why wouldn’t I? If I don’t like them, does that mean I don’t even believe my own hyperbole?
Well, it’s more like griefers experience “content” when they meet you, while you experience the opposite “discontent” when your ship is wrecked and all precious cargo is looted.
That’s an even more ridiculous idea than calling in-game actions “content”. If there are “many” such observations, perhaps you would care to provide an example?
Since most authorities regard the early 1980’s as the start of the millenial generation, in order for “many of the various observations regarding internet communications” to “considerably predate” millenials, then these observations must have arisen in the 1970’s. Is that seriously what you are suggesting?
I notice how this was never addressed. Someone created an alt to contest the word “content”. Probably because they know the topic is so stupid that don’t want their main associated with it.
This statement belies a lack of knowledge of how the forum works. Forum age and character age are two completely different things. And it’s not my topic that is stupid so much as the people who refer to their actions as “content”, and stupid people get troll-y when exposed to logic.
You say CCP putting NPC’s in missions as content, surely a player putting a barge in a losec belt is creating ‘content’ for hunters?
For the record I dislike the phrase too, but understand why people use it in this context. ‘Content creator’ is right up there in irritating terms with ‘Influencer’.
