What makes you a piece of garbage isn’t that you think their gameplay style is boring, or unfun, or even not worth doing, but the fact you think they are a “whiny wage slave” for the game profession they have chosen.

I don’t think that their gameplay style is boring because I think that their gameplay style is boring; I think that their gameplay style is boring because those players have been complaining and telling me that their gameplay style is boring as I’ve sat in many of their carebear corporations over the years. Very few of those people actually genuinely enjoy wage slave mining, but in a battle between sheer boredom from mining and abject terror from the prospect of having to face the possibility of engaging in combat with other players, sheer boredom always wins.

You do realize the “re-balances” are usually from player feedback and years of complaining on the forums, reddit and the help channels every chance they get, right?
CCP makes a lot of mistakes, and those mistakes are usually related to listening to the cry babies all over these forums, and spamming help channels, and mass ticketing. This is a 19 year old video game that is still wildly successful. Do you know of a lot of other space sandbox games out there? Open multi-player like this one?
Star citizen and elite dangerous don’t count. star citizen will never release as a full version, and elite sucks donkey. The games trying to take over this genre are doing so after more than a decade of CCP already doing it.
At the end of the day, this is a video game trying to survive in a rapidly changing world. The industry changed, the overall community changed. CCP hasnt done a whole lot of actual change, which makes it a dinosaur that the current gaming community shits on whenever they can.
Show me anyone doing better under even close to the conditions EVE was born in and has lived through.

To a certain extent, people that take on your game role demonstrate on a regular basis bigoted hostility to anyone who does anything other than engage in combat. This mentally exists within the big coalitions as well. So I should just assume, like you did, that all players in your game profession are gutter trash?

You’ve got it all wrong. I’m thankful that players like you are in the game, because they validate my play style, which requires the presence of prey animals for me to consume. Does that mean they’re in fact noble, and not gutter-trash carebears? No, and it’s not hostile of me to think this way, since those players themselves admit to the severe deficiencies of their play style when pressed. If you engage in a play style that—according to you—is boring, and frustrating, and you keep perpetually complaining about it instead of considering the alternatives presented to you, they you’re a gutter-trash player.

Will I consume carebears like they’re beef? Yes, I will. But at the same time, I’d rather that they engaged in a more informed, balanced selection of game activities, and do my best to steer players toward more self-sufficient and fulfilling forms of gameplay when they’re open to advice. If they don’t, then they’re not an ally or a rival (i.e. an equal, even if not in the same profession), but merely food. I don’t mind their existence, but I will label it accordingly.
