I’ve ganked someone once. It was because he was being a jackass and I was getting sick of his bs. It didn’t do anything, but it felt good.

well you have killed non fighting ships in low as well as killing explores in wormhole space whcih even though is not punised by concord it does not mean your opion is not biased
And that’s the problem with making your own definition of a word that has a distinct meaning in Eve. You can define it however you want, but you can’t then expect a common sense discussion about it with everyone else. If you go into rookie chat and say “ How can I prevent being ganked?”, you will get a lot of answers about tanking your mining ship, setting the appropriate overview, different warp points etc.
If you then say “ that won’t help my Heron survive in a WH” because that’s what YOU define as a gank, you will then have both wasted everyone’s time AND still not gotten the information you need, simply because you framed the conversation poorly.

I’m a big fan of your work, but I gotta mention that this is a bad angle to go for because it acts as a sort of compromise that can get your long game shut down.

I try to not name names simply because there’s not any point in harassing someone who’s long gone, but if you were in Hek roughly a year ago (I think), you should know who I’m talking about
I think I do.
I’m in and out of Hek. I do rotations on activities when I get bored with one. I move to the next.
If I recall, we both sat off of the boundless creation station waiting to nail some loud mouth that wad camping there? Or slipping in and out?
The more accurate analogy would be that you’re working the sandbag, and then someone ambushes you from behind with kidneyshots.
