EVE - now “scratch and sniff” enhanced.
He is complaining about Eve, not chess. Stay on topic.
I agree that toxic is not the correct term.
Toxic would be correct if they had an accepted rule to not shoot each other. If they were in the same militia, that could be considered toxic.
I think he uses the term “toxic” because he believes there is such a implicit rule of not shooting non-fighters. There is none.
Hey, forum poster. He was making an analogy relevant to the topic. Get your crap together.

Complaining about an explicitly-stated PvP game for having PvP is like complaining about My Pretty Pony MMO having furry, friendly anthropomorphized ponies, and then calling the pony players “toxic”.
That’s some oddly specific example though.
Hey, on an instinctive level, bronies are very unsettling.
But no one calls them toxic for playing and enjoying their venues, unlike the person complaining about EVE players enjoying the basic and extended premises of EVE and calling them “toxic”.
Hes making an analogy.
The analogy being relevant is not the case. Get your crap together. What makes sense in Eve and in chess are not the same set.
Analogies are never a valid argument. They can be a valid image to get an idea, a feeling, a goal. Analogies are good for presentation, not for discussion.
Analogies are the arguments of the child.
You can do thing in Eve, that you can’t in chess. And things that you don’t expect in chess can still be expected in Eve.
There was a game called Empyrion where we blew each others stuff up constantly and there was no toxicity.
But then again you only needed to farm for 2 hours and you got enough resources to pvp for like 20h’s. Could be the difference.
I guess in Eve a single death could be 5-500h of farm
People who lose a 500K ISK Venture (which pays for itself after a single load or such) also act as if the entire world is collapsing because of their ship loss.
LOL that is fair, but that is also inexperience in loosing stuff in general.
Warrior spirit not cultivated yet type of thing.
Also I wont ask how you got screen grabs of aiko’s wallet… little sus.
The fact that the utopian empires hand out FREE corvettes with weapons and miners makes your point even more profound.
The career agents even hand out free Ventures as well (among other things).
Maybe I’m completely wrong and the toxicity actually comes from the adjustment of expectations, the player having a solid plan in their head with a deadline and then someone throws a spanner in the works.
Wait cant we just link a toxic person and ask them directly lol.
Does that include troll forum like you who need to add their signature at the end of evrything that they write ?
Though he seems not being active right now unfortunately.
That t3c pilot wasn’t even toxic at all, you were mining in a low security system where evrything, including a titan DD you, it’s permitted
Know your space and you will never be caught ( mostly )
Well, there’s your problem right there. There is no ‘minding my own business’ in Eve. The minute you undock you are everyone’s business. That is the very nature of the game.
What’s the point of logging into a multiplayer game if everyone can just ‘mind their own business’ ?
I really wonder if these people ever played FPS games and if they did, did they complain why their characters got shot and killed when they were just minding their own business
?
@Tickle_MaBalls Found you, what situation makes you feel like being toxic?
@Tiger_space_Thedark whatsup bro nice to see another poch guy lurking around here I don’t think I’ve ever seen you die thou you always seem to somehow slip away.
