Why is /r/eve still a partner?

The lack of alternatives. This is the only reason why CCP can get away with all this crap. If there was a similar experience to EVE (pvp, full-ish loot, harsh, sci-fi, spaceships), I’d be there and not here if there is better than here. But there is no there, which is why I try to make the here a better place despite the incompetence of large chunks of the developers (not all of them are insane or incompetent. Best example for that is Karkur).

Does anyone on the reddit actually play EvE?

Yes they do.

Then create it if you think you can make better, instead of polluting here.

STOP.

I’m bad at this… “the lighting on your toon’s shades is perfectly placed”. Did I succeed?

I give enough suggestions to make here better. The real polluters are people who never suggest anything to improve EVE.

REDNES

Giving a lot of ■■■■ suggestions is the definition of pollution though.

Those who never suggest anything, by definition, do not pollute.

Also, making good suggestion does not prevent you from ALSO making pollution.

Your affirmation is complete garbage. Hence, pollution.

Reddit is a good example of why the up/downvote button having any effect on what posts are more or less visible is a bad idea.

The irony …

I’m gonna admit I’ve never seen a MMO drop loot rates across the board, and expect their players to stick around, dig in, and play the game harder to get what is left.

Especially one that’s so time intensive you can only get a few things done per play session. For people with jobs, the time cost hurts a lot.

Heh but its CCP ruining the game right?

Including now crying on an internet forum

You mean like how you’re trying to destroy Dr Who

Exactly. Whether they like it or not, EVE has done something special.

You can only hate so strongly something you once loved.

Steam review: “this game sucks”, 8000 hours played.

Tis true.

I prefered 4chans /eog/ thread personally. Having no moderation means real opinions.

It’s not just r/eve. It’s on the forums, too. The difference is, CCP controls the forums but not reddit. So it gets locked and buried on the forums, but on reddit it gets upvoted to the top.

Yeah I went on eve’s reddit in order to check before starting the game, and it’s so full of hatred it feels like a horde of 8 years old spoiled kids who scream and break everything when they don’t get what they want, as if they owned the world / studio / game.
It makes me feel kind of sad for them.

When I first checked the website, social medias etc, I was looking for an official Discord server, but after going on reddit I understood why there isn’t.
These people are so toxic, and the reddit really shows the worst of the game’s community.

the only official discord EVE has, is for EVE echoes, since there isn’t a place on the forums to discuss that game.

i feel like half or 3/4 of the folks on reddit don’t actually play the game, and just get on there to ■■■■■. though there are a few who do play, but just like some people come here to complain until they think CCP bends over backwards enough that they’ll log in and play, but they never will log in again, but they’ll ■■■■■ here just cause they have nothing better to do.
