Don’t get it, what hinders you to go the 9j, this should take at most 15min… faster if you are in a fast warping ship. Also docking in stations is pointless with every group having their Upwell structures up.
So here’s what you do, you buy the tags, use red frog or pushx to ship em to said station, jump in your pod and fly to then dock up at the CONCORD station, sell/turn in the tags, and your sec status is all fixed. Back out in your pod and you’re back in your preferred low sec system in next to no time.
Simples.
Or drop out of the militia, do the security tag thing wherever suits, rejoin militia… I guess that’d work too.

Cypr3ss.
… or just fly over in a ceptor, shuttle, whatever aligns fast enough and has cargo to hold tags (or buy them in target station).
My setup is, that I have a bigger stock of tags in one concord station, and a JC right next to it. Every time I get below the magic -2.0 I jump there hand in the tags, create a new clone and death clone back home to Perimeter, then switching back to my highsec clone.
…put the tags in something fast and just fly there, jfc it’s not that hard.
I love shooting neutrals. I love shooting war targets even more.
What I don’t like is dealing with all the ■■■■■■■■ neutral pirates (who don’t care / are proud of their -10 sec status) don’t have to worry about: grinding security status, wasting Isk on tags.
I don’t mind not having access to stations in enemy territory, but not having access to my faction high sec space sucks. So I’m fighting for my faction, and my reward for it is going criminal? Militia pilots are not pirates.
In short, what some (if not most) of us in the militia are saying is: the ONLY change we need - regarding neutrals - is that they are made SUSPECT when they ENTER a complex (sorry for the CAPS. I just want to make sure I’m being clear on this), so militia players don’t take a hit to their security status for doing exactly what they are meant to be doing, which is fighting in these plexes.
The whole security status thing is super annoying and restricting for us. We are at a disadvange here, as it hurts us for no good reason whatsoever. Again: NOT asking to restrict neutrals from entering plexes. What is being asked of CCP is to make them suspect the moment they enter. From a “lore” standpoint it makes perfect sense: if you’re neutral, pirate or not, you have no business being there. It’s a “military facility” or whatever. We (the militia) have to deal with the rat, the enemy controlled territory and the security status grind. Meanwhile, pirates and other neutrals get to waltz in without any hassle and having full access to the whole of low security stations.
It’s a broken mechanic that is hurting militia players who just want to PvP and fly their faction colors.
Of course we are going to aggress them first. It’s a PvP “military outpost”. Neutrals are either pirates or weekened warriors looking for a fight. Why should we be penalized with a hit to our security status for doing what we are meant to?
Neutrals should turn suspect the moment they hit the acceleration gate. Pirates don’t care anyway, so it’s doesn’t hurt them. Sightseeing neutrals in low sec will just have to deal with the risk (they chose to be there anyway). Meanwhile, militia pilots are getting screwed for doing their “job” for X faction.
What you do of course realise is that you will not incur a security status hit by engaging someone who has -10 sec status… apart from that, good rant!
Ok, one other thing:
I think what you’re forgetting is the ability you (the militia) have to generate ridiculous amounts of LP with little to no effort. Dealing with the rat and the occasional sec status hit would seem to be a minor inconvenience when you remember to take this into account.
Regards,
Cypr3ss.
You don’t get the point. If I do not want a security hit, I cannot stay in the complex. Therefore I see a neut in a kiter warping in, I can only warp out.
Neut did not get the fight he was looking for, I lost the LP from complex 1 min before the 15 min timer.
So what you are saying is that you don’t want to take the risk to get your nice rewards.
Just a Cypr3ss says above the ability to generate a tidy income is easy in FW and a little bit of a sec hit/risk by engaging neutrals (only the pos sec ones mind) is a tiny blip in this that is easy worked off just by actually living in the space you operate in.
This Topic has been moved to Player Features and Ideas Discussion
Simple solution: wait for them to shoot first. They go suspect and then you can freely engage them without taking a hit to your sec status. No changes to game mechanics needed, just a little patience.
Oh, and if you’re really worried about sec status, for the love of Bob do not pod them if you fired the first shot.
Lets be real, OP got roflstomped by a neutral and is now playing the sore loser: nerf neutrals.
Thread should have been moved to C&P
Fine, neutrals get a suspect flag for going into a FW plex. Then so should FW members, allowing the neutrals to shoot without losing sec status. After all, if a Gallente FW player is in Caldari space attacking a plex why should I take a sec hit for shooting them? The Caldari State should reward me for my act of service even if I’m not officially a member of their militia!
No this was not what I was saying. I did not want a security hit. I would have a roughly 50/50 chance agains a kiter. Depends if I can catch him on jump in point before he slips out of web/scram range. Because of the way security mechanics currently work, I just will not bother
I’d rather lose you from the warzone than neuts.
Since you are from a neutral corporation, I am just wondering how are you involved in the war?
All of New Eden is a warzone.
Everyone is a combatant, at all times, whether they want to be or not.
The fact that the great empires have enlisted capsuleers to help with their own agendas does not change this fact.
I have a character in galmil.
Considering how many fw chars are there just to farm lp rather than engage, we really can’t complain about neuts. At least you know neuts aren’t there to print isk. They’re there to fight.
The sec status hit is a minor nuisance at best. There are ways to mitigate it.
This, if your purpose is to PvP, neuts are a good thing.
I’d dump the mission runners and the Faction “Warfare” people who avoid PvP before the neutrals.
We could add a minimum number of PvP fights per month and boot those who don’t meet the number.
Sounds like you just said the exact same thing.
You aren’t willing to take the risks to justify your rewards… ho hum…
