Why should I renew my subscription?

Sure, OP is king.
And the king of this thread whined at length before making a decision nobody else cares about.
You are the jester dancing around that.

OP decided to not sub, and instead use PLEX for x accounts, and continue their SP farm operation as before.

What is there left to discuss?

Yet you’re still here
Makes it seem like you care a lot

And I’m but a mere observer.
Keep dancing please

I stated my opinion long before you even got here with your usual views.
Now I make observations that somehow hit your nerves

Oh. My nerves are hit?
Sorry. I didnt notice.

I thought I was just stating the truth:

TIL you can get an easy +20 posts to a thread by triggering Salvos into

  1. “NO U!!”! posts
  2. “I don’t know what to post, but love my own typing!!!”! posts

So obsessive. Sad.

Ima, glad to see your still trying to herd the thread back on track.

Hello!

What an interesting thread! :relaxed:

Eve has changed my entire perspective on games and gaming and MMO’s completely. This is the only real ‘world’ on the gaming market in my opinion with everything being player built and gathered and increasingly more so with the new structures and the vague roadmap to player built gates.

Having said that though a few things started to kill my interest and draw some of my own negativity:

  • My fangirl dollars keep going to other CCP projects. Now none of them do!

  • I miss old friends. Feel like at least half or more of the old forum posters are gone and I miss them.

  • Killing Evelopedia. Don’t tell me about how the players did it better it was a good blend of lore + how to run sites. I was a member of Uniwiki after Evelopedia and it’s pretty dead too. blahbiddy blah Steve’s website. Yeah I know. This was my endgame, an explorer’s endgame.

  • CQ. I grew up being able to get out of my ship and walk around! For me it was an Eve Online safe space. I would be reading about the game while in my quarters after a hard session of probing and hacking and running sites and maybe even a PVP situation - this game had it all. But then in the lazy wisdom of CCP it got in the way of $40 SKINs so it got the axe. I’m not gonna argue whether CQ was worth it or not but that was just so telling to me. Nothing more than just a chat window now.

  • CCP laying off it’s community team and being very silent about everything was probably the final nail.

The development is aimed at lower prospects and geared for more alphas. Clearly there is more money in that model than in Omegas. I’ve saved up about 4 months in subscriptions in PLEX so maybe if I come back it’ll be only using those instead of paying the traditional way.

Sorry for this negative post it’s not really my thing. CCP is gonna do what CCP wants and that’s fine, they owe me absolutely nothing and honestly I’ve hit a plateau in-game where I was never gonna be more than I was and it was cool while it lasted but I’m onto other hobbies now.

Okay thanks see you later

I feel somehow that eve seems to be concentrating on the group stuff more that doesnt benefit solo or mico/small gang play, and whilst i appreciate that eve is indeed an mmo no one really wants to log in and have to wait around for others all the time.
Id also have to say that making it harder for the smaller PvP gang to operate, stripping more and more away from them is also a massive content killer, eve started out with these smaller gang engagements its what made eve great and its what most of the vets did or still do… for now… but pretty soon in order to take on an unorganised fleet of 100 your still gonna need a big gang instead of a handful of players that actually know what theyre doing.
Most big gang/fleet players dont even log in to really play the game unless theyre told theres something happening; the opposite is true for the more hardcore small gang types - please do tell me CCP where in fact the actual content is?

tl;dr?

eve is dying who wants my stuff? :stuck_out_tongue:

I seen your post before you deleted it

I’ll keep it wherever you left it
Because I know you’ll come back around one day

And if you don’t I’ll consider giving it to newbeans and @Mike_Azariah and his newbro activities
(I’m not as mean and evil as people usually think heh)

There is no reason. You can now do most content on alpha, so no need to waste further dollars on a game company that has abandoned it’s core tenets.

do what i did. create a new account. make a new character, sell all your old characters…every single one… forget all your old contacts and start COMPLETELY OVER!

If there werent skill injectors I would have most likely not played this long and quitte after three months again. 30 days just to fly a specific destroyer. It’s just way to long to make the game enjoyable.

is asking quitters to contract their stuff still frowned upon?

ccp needs to bring this back

stuff

Only reason to renew is if you want to keep playing as Omega without buying PLEX with your ISK.

I get that you’re emotionally invested in the game, but you kind of have to take it as a what you see is what you get.

I honestly would be happy if the game were stale for a few years if Eve 2.0 were on the horizon. Seems like grand visions are limited by old code. It also seems that they haven’t managed the right balance between merging into megacorps for safety vs rewards for carving a life as a small, but elite group.
