Why The High-Sec Mining Hate?

What hate are you referring to? Besides the very rare little angry tommy that has parents that pay no attention to him, the rest of the ganking crowd are quite pleasant.

I happen to hang around in a channel with many of them. They may spread their share of playful banter…but its certainly nothing even near hate. Ive learned more in this game from the ganker crowd than anyone else pretty much, especially the art of being vigilant. They taught me how to pick up the bad vibes in a system, how to properly fit the ships they blew me up in, how to read the writing on the wall…when to gtfo.

We need to take care of our gankers. They are the ones that keep this whole mining, selling, building, destroying, building again, selling again thing we do moving smoothly.

ok…but wrong…most of the ‘old devs’ left 2 years ago…hence the change in approach to pvp…

This has NOTHING to do with the name change which was only recently…

But keep making things up…everybody that has even the slightest clue what he is talking about will be able to sort your posts into the right place where they belong

But i BET your next post will be about ‘proof’ while it’s so easy to find ‘proof’ if you just follow the timeline of announcements…

you see?

My opinion is NOT a ‘troll’ or ‘minority one’ as you imagine…

Instead it’s WHISHED that things like this will be implented…

But i bet this is an alt of me just keeping the thing cooking, hm? :stuck_out_tongue:

HAS to be, because the alternative is unthinkable…

Ever thought about losing one ship with an affordable loss and escape with ten others that pay you the rent while the gankers are distracted by the bait?

Just my 2 cents…

Gankers are very predictable :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah. minimum of 10b isks is a good bait.

They should not be hated if that’s the case

Yes it is if you bring 100b through…

How can it be that you obviously have NO clue about this tactic?

All YOU see is the loss of 10b…so the gain of 100b is not relevant?

DUDE…

I don’t recognize your inferior speech, I will call the slaves what I see fit. The only acceptable one is Chief Grug and his kindhearted trad wife.

Why do i have the impression some people really forget that this is just a game?

It’s not even relevant globally money wise…otherwise pearl abyss would not have sold it back to fc with a 100 Million $ loss to prevent further losses…

Some of us are passionate about the game we been playing for 10+ years. We’d like to see the core gameplay untouched. But ultimately hillmar and his team does what they want

Oh gawd…here we go again with the ‘them’ and ‘us’ nonsense. Its nonsense because there is no ‘them’ in EVE. People aren’t assigned fixed roles and status when they join EVE. Every single player has exactly the same possibilities open to them.

There’s no high authority daily demanding that you must be a ‘them’ or an ‘us’. There’s individual players who CHOOSE to be this or that, or sometimes multiple things.

If you CHOOSE to be a wildebeest then that is the role you have chosen…and nobody forced it on you. If some lion chomps your ass…well, you chose to be the bottom of the food chain. Nobody made you be…and you had the exact same opportunities to be any of 101 other things as anyone else in the game.

In that respect, EVE is 101% a fair game.

The irony is that the proverbial ‘hate’ figures, mainly gankers, in EVE are actually some of the nicest and most helpful people you could come across. Quite a few have helped me over the years. One of them even mentored me for a while. I’ve never experienced any hate from these PvP players…most are eager to help players learn.

Conversely, the people I have experienced hate from are the ‘anti PvP’ people. Sheer, venomous, hate. Never an ounce of help. Never a good word. Never a ‘good fight’. Rants involving one’s Mom or one’s dog. And somehow these people are the white knights of EVE…lol !

The EVE player base is a mixed bag of snakes, at best. I think the scammers and spammers are the worst (just as they are in real life).

Gankers are more akin to Jehovah Witnesses or Mormans (you know they’re out there - it’s just a question of when they decide to knock on your door…)

Mate your a perfect candidate, look at your profile. This is what i’m talking about. You amass so many kills but when it comes to taking on others you get your backside handed too on a gold plate.

This is what i mean, your ego’s are so up with the fairies i was dam right. Come to real pvp most of you guys are nothing but dust. Your profile says it all my friend ALL.

As for myself which you don’t have a big idea of who i am, i’ve been in null sec, low sec, wormhole space and been killed many times in normal pvp. I never complained and accepted the enjoyment. But you lot are not PvP players. Really look at your profile, you just go on killing defenseless foes and brag about your ego. Where is your real PvP so i can really call you a good PVP pilot.

Hang on let me get fresh toilet paper before your next chat because i know i’m going to need more than 1 roll yes.

Sigh. You gonna teach someone with 2.7 Trillion in kills…1629 kills and just 28 losses… how to play EVE ? You’re too scared to even log in under an account that actually plays the game…lol.

This is the weirdest thread. Half of these posts aren’t even about mining or hate of mining. Just gankers trolling.

Actually you already have seen it.

The ship prices, are the affects of over griefing of miners, ever noticed how “there are soo many miners” yet the ship prices keep going up?

As a person who multibox mining fleets, anytime I want to stay out for an extended time to mine the massive amounts of ore it takes to produce ships, to send to market, I get interrupted by 30+ gankers, and combat probes, all in HS. I’d say the frequency of these interruptions has increased over they years, and only gets worse, now instead of mining mats and building ships for the public market, I only mine mats and build ships, for my corporation, where I once seeded, 30 frigs, 15 cruisers, and 7 battlecruisers on the public market, I now just put them in my corps ship hanger.

Where once I mass produced rockets, missiles, blaster charges, for the public market I now send them to the corp inventory, why? because rampant griefers, at it’s current state the rampant pvp in HS has malformed from ganking to Griefing and, as the years go by, I find my self training my alts not in indi anymore, but into Logistics cruisers, and T3s, so I can join my corps Main branch in Null.

So remember when you see ship prices continue to go up, its because industrialists are leaving that role, and joining Null blocks and WH alliances, or out right leaving the game, thus no longer producing minerals to fuel market growth.

They should keep doing that.

My tactic is not to get asploded.
