If you are not trolling and are a high sec player, you don’t get it, cause likely you have never honestly asked yourself why you are here in EVE, instead of another space game that contains completely safe PvE.
I could direct you to a very expansive multiplayer space game, and even an indy single player space game that has PvE that is even better than EVE’s. But I could wager you would be back here sooner or later, either consciously or sub-consciously, and you wouldn’t even know why, until you honestly reflect on why are you here?
You really think faking and reworking of official statistics will help anybody?
I see numbers around 20k in the launcher 18 hours a day,7 days a week so your statistic suggests that there must be 40k at us primetime?
Well then it is a fraud…
I’m here for pve and pve only…no caveman style clubbing on the head,no stupidly defending the favoring of this ■■■■ and NOBODY,i repeat NOBODY should be able to force me into PVP.
Being able to do that is simply primitive and not wanted in a modern game.
That’s a pretty entitled attitude given that you’re a valid target for anyone to shoot at as soon as you undock in EVE Online.
You must be new here. EVE isn’t a “modern game”. It was released back in May of 2003, so it’s about 16 years old. However, the core idea that EVE is a harsh and dangerous universe has not changed since then.
It’s simply primitive to come into a game and community 16 years in the making and start pouting and throwing tantrums about how people can ‘force’ you to PvP. Especially since it’s one of the core elements that make EVE Online what it is.
Only in EVE crypto-speech. In the rest of the MMO gaming world., where trading works the same way it does in EVE, trading is PvE, and “PvP” without any qualification to change its meaning means “PvP combat”.
Hysan
You’re presenting your request/suggestion too forcefully.
EVE was designed to be (almost) entirely without “PvP-off” zones. The only exceptions (AFAIK) are some small beginner areas. So the phrase quoted above isn’t correct as written.
You’re not alone in wanting such a zone, but IMO you need to sell CCP (and other players) on a new “PvP-off” zone. Or changes to highSec - but IMO it would be better to get anew “PvP combat off” zone and let highSec die.
Google definition of PvP. And I really don’t care what names give to trading other games. Market in EVE is player versus other player. Maybe you will understand that when you will start fighting with competition.
Also, saying that combat PvP is only right way to PvP is extremely stupid. But this is what happen when people don’t understand words they use.
Fortunately for the future of this discussion, you’re the only one who said that (bold text in the quote).
You could recover from your mistake by explaining why EVE crypto-speech uses that unique definition of “PVP”. I’ve never understood why any experienced EVE player would feel the need to redefine the meaning of “PvP”.
About EVE-Offline
EVE-Offline continously monitors the various game-server of the EVE-Online universe collecting player statistics and server information from our much beloved MMORPG/FPS.
I didn’t fake anything. I just posted some pictures generated from this website from Chribba where he just displays data about users online taken from the Eve API. Everybody that goes to this website will come to the same results.
Now, you can start argue that Chribba is falsifying data or at the very least misrepresenting it in the graphs or you can blame CCP for publishing incorrect user numbers through the API. Good luck with that.
By the way, what ist your official source for your numbers? You seem to have forgotten to mention it.
