Hi, William French here to push for gay agenda, kek.
My journey with eve online has been pretty wild, like most people I started in HS and doing missions for a few months quickly realizing that “I hate this, I can’t stay a wake and what’s even the story/purpose?” I then moved to null, joined brave to be exact and just getting to hear another person was a huge deal because I no longer feel alone!
Coming to null is almost like unlocking a whole end game. All the freedom and all that ISK! Lol the era of rorq online for those vets knows what I’m talking about lol.
Then I was involved in a first major war ever since I started playing and it was WWB II, the tidi fest? Yes I been there, the M2 part 1 and 2? Yes I been there, it made me realize how huge the player base are, and how un-fun these mass tidi fight can be.
If anything, I did accomplished something while I was with TEST during the war. The mass ping grid that I had made helped online the keepstar in YZ9, for which I stayed up all night making it, one could say I am very dedicated enough to sit there and make a 1000+ pings.
As many people now knows, all the force pulled back and the war was over I was in the drone land and did most of my pvp/pve there, by then I was proficient with in eve, (I honestly can’t think how anyone would call them self a master at eve online) I did some solo hot drop with my supers that was fun lol it’s pretty boring if I’m being honest, managed to grab 30 ish kill marks on that Nux for the time I stayed in drone land.
Took on a some what eve break for a bit, after the Covid peek time in eve I do feel like I need to go touch some grass.
And now I fly with Initiative, and solo filament roam with my hydra lol because why not. What’s the point of having it if I can’t have fun with it.
While my journey with eve online may seem short compared to others, but I was able to experience a lot of different environments with eve.
A few things I would love to help work on is change how the sov mechanic, this is for the null sec people out there, y’all know how painfully dumb of TZ tanking and tidi tanking. Server limitations should not be used as part of war strategy.
General HS improvement, I know… it’s almost a dead horse that has been beating too many times, but as a community we need to realize how fast our new player turn over rates are! How do we make the game engaging enough while not taking away the “time investment” eve is known for? I would love to work with CCP to help work on lore/missions/new players. Like in real world, whether we like it or not these children/new players are our future.
Eve is a fun game for me and I really do enjoy it, there isn’t anything like this out there. And for all the space fantasy people out there I would love to have them play long enough to hook them in and keeping them log in day after day, after all what is a sandbox game if it’s just you in it? I suppose Minecraft in creative mode??? But like why??? Lol
Anyway I didn’t intend this to be a super long, because I can’t imagine many people keep reading after a few minutes. Just want to get my name out there and hope y’all like me enough to vote for me.
Thank you for your time reading to this far.
No support. I’m not feeling that you understand the pain that more veteran players do. Please get involved with the other activities that are in your area, in low-sec, and in highsec, –even if its not super isk positive: I encourage you, to sample other alliances, corps, and kitchen sink gangs if not on your current character, then on an alt. Play with them, understand them and their problems-- and please run next year with them in mind.
It is nice however to read something that wasn’t pre-written then re-written. You are more genuine then Darkshines and Brisc and the rest the turnstyle candidates that null puts out. Do not dissapoint me. I have a spoon.
I do feel the PI QoL could really use some love 100%, Don’t get me wrong, it shouldn’t be super easy isk but at the same time the amount of clicking involved is “pain”.
If a player loves to read a wall of text for a mission or lore then sure there wouldn’t be any problem, but my idea is to have voice-over in them, invon timer is a thing in the game so while a player is actively watching/listening to the lore or CCp could go a step further make it where player has to select an option right there and then, put those social skills into use and make it more RPG friendly for the lore lover out there.
-I won’t lie, there are times when I feel like the only thing CCP got something right, is when they keep throwing sh*t at a wall and see what sticks, but call me crazy the visual update was really cool to draw in new players, it just doesn’t look like a game that is 20+ years old.
-while I do wish for many things to not exist in-game what I wish for would make no impact on what is already there, just to name a couple “SP in packs” or “straight-up SP for sale”.
-Keep the filament, that was a great implement for sure, For roaming and content it’s great, but I do like to see it changed a bit, where you can’t use a filament again in the same constellation or something like that to filter out some of “filament-> cloak and stays there” it should be a content generator.
-For the love of sweet baby Jesus Christ I hope to never see skin with stat boost lol.
-I know, PI is way too clicky, but I think if you know how to do it once you should not have to keep doing it over and over, so an in-game macro? or PI setting up could use “save this set up” similar to how save a fitted maybe?
-I’ll be honest, I have never run a Corp, The closest I came to was being a Test Diplo, and even then I don’t think it was the same plan field, from that standpoint I feel like a member’s sp, assets, and location should be visible to the corp lead? I don’t know if that’s too much info, but a lot of that is already done on third-party websites like Auth, it really should be implemented in the game already. I know it may be redundant but that one less window needs to be opened on my browser I guess.
Dude, if it was optional and say tied to corp permissions then I don’t see how it could be a problem, if you don’t want to share that data you just don’t advance within the corporation hierarchy, that’s the trade off. And when you leave you decline permissions, it could all be implanted through the access list feature. This would add meaningful choices to being a corp member and its way that people could join a corporation without either party needing further layers of authorisations. I love this idea of corp leaders having access to high level management profiles, just like in real life.
One of the most interesting insights on the corp UI that I 've received so far.
