My point was that it was unbalanced. A drone boat can’t do much for … anti botting reasons?

How did you get rid of the frigates? With your drones? Didn’t they get focused like crazy?
Tracking implants and webifier will still let you hit frigates easily with medium, short range turrets like pulse lasers, blasters and autocannons. Missiles too, by the way, for the webifier anyway. You wouldn’t have tracking implants on a missile ship.
Frigates/destroyers pop like bubbles with medium guns + webber on them. You need like 3 shots for each of them.
As you can see on the fitting screenshot, the drone bay is empty, I didn’t even used them. 
There are thousands of threads calling the game bad or dead.
Many threads where people offer up scathing commentary of something about a game where they are high and mighty. Everyone can be a pundit thanks to the internet.
CCP showed at fanfest that EVE was declared dead via forums in like 2003? 2004?

We all have explained how to run the event sites and it starts with selling the rattlesnake and getting a marauder/t2 ship. Literally something that is not a drone boat. Many t1 ships also work for this event too! Seen many paraxis out there.
The only thing 100% predictable about this game is that liars and scumbags develop it for liars and scumbags that play it.
The industry term is “whales”.
Did a run in a normal Harbinger (not navy), just T2 fit (except the Cap Battery, a T2 doesn’t fit). Even easier than in the Navy Augoror since you have so much armor- and cap-buffer to work with. Also the higher DPS helps enourmeously to reduce incoming damage. Didn’t need to overheat once. Crimson Gauntlet was done even without boosters running. Bosses can be tanked with one repper running and using buffer, or both reppers if you still have high capacitor levels.
Whole fit costs 150M ISK. Paid itself after 4 sites, roughly 1 hour (my boosters run out after 3rd site).
This time I brought drones, and they are even pretty handy. Only put them out after all the small stuff and some DPS has been removed. They help to bring down Diviners, Oracles and the Bosses more qickly and with Navy Vespas you can scoop them back if coming under attack, you just need to pay attention. Aggro on the drones also helps to get webs/neuts/dps off yourself for a short while.
Conclusion: These sites are perfectly doable even for people who cannot afford bling. I was pretty surprised how fast even the Augoror or the Harbinger were able to clean them. The Augoror needed like 18minutes, the Harbinger around 15 - thats comparable to a T2 fitted HAC, for lower skill and ISK requirements. A blinged 1000dps Legion needs around 10 minutes. That isn’t too bad for these cheap ships.
I cleared a few in a cheap ass ~70mil drake with no boosters sitting totally still.
Get good.
Wasn’t me who wasted a NavyDrake in these sites. So take your own advice and maybe use the cheap ass sitting-still 70m Drake to replace the NavyDrake that you lost instead of complaining all day long. I haven’t seen anything constructive from you so far, just “meh meh CCP is bad meh Event is bad mehh”.
Fact is that the event is fun for many players, it is doable without a lot of initial investment and it pays really really well compared to other content that is available for noobs in just T2 fitted ships.
I did and threw that one away too.
Sounds like you have fun with the event then. Lots of opportunities to learn how to proper fit ships.

If you could simply fly a cheap T1 cruiser why in the world would you take a marauder to a PVPVE event?
But i really like drone boats, and not for afk purposes. I like having 5 “pets” around. So why remove the guristas and gallente from the equation? Just for the same of an argument? Not realistic.
CCP could easily remove drone auto attacking altogether and it would just be like any other damage type then.
I have done these sites in an Ishtar already. It’s absolutely doable. Which droneboat is it you think can’t run them?

They target your drones.
You either recall them or they die if they’re lights.
They’re exactly like the elite npcs in lvl 4 missions except they web and neut and do a bit more damage so you would normally just snipe them before you bring your drones out at all.
Never said to remove any ship or drone boat. I don’t get paid the big $$$ for ideas.
Don’t take what I say out of context.
In many areas of EVE drones are suboptimal vs turrets or missiles.
It’s a tough problem because sitting back and watching drones clear a grid for you is super comfy but also extremely exploitable.
