Worse Halloween event in a game - thank you EVE business dep

Anyone waiting for the Christmas Yulai event and someone just like OP will make a thread JUST like this and be some super critical pundit of how CCP designed it?

Oh no, I am criticizing your favorite company and favorite game :frowning:

Never said it was my favorite :stuck_out_tongue: I got my fair share of greivences vs CCP too dude but I don’t air them.

Now if you want WHITE KNIGHTS?! Go to Elite Dangerous Steam forums. :joy: :joy:

Don’t take it personal dude there are hundreds of threads like this. You just adding to the sea of “Game is bad, Game is dead, CCP bad, CCP this, CCP that”.

It’s why we/people say “OP” to remove the personal connection. I never say the person’s actual name as that would be attacking you. Always say “What OP said.” as that focuses on the substance.

Really, I hope you don’t take it personal lol.

Blood raider and ammar missions are prolly the only exceptions. Heavy neuting in blood raider missions, and a combination of points, webs, ewar and neuts in anti-amarr ones. All other missions are very easy.

Did some testing and finished both Event sites (Tetrimon Baseand Crimson Gauntlet) in a T1 Cruiser with just T2 fitting. Did not need to overheat once. Augoror Navy with just plain T2 fit, synth exile and hardshell 5 running (both cheap, one could also use the free boosters from login or the ones you find plenty in the sites).

So, would I recommend that? Just if you like doing stuff on the edge of dying. Without overheating it’s really tricky sometimes and you have to know your target priority. Movement has to be top notch, especially with Dual-Oracle or Dual-Divner spawns. Both bosses are not a big problem, they don’t apply well once in close orbit. Cap management is important, Blood Raiders can make you dry if you keep both reppers running and don’t use your buffer to safe cap.

But any claims this event is overly hard are just nonsense. The whole fit was like 170M and it paid off in two sites. I am even sure with a overheating and reparing (nanite) between the pockets it would be doable in a 50M Maller.

So fun to not find content during an event.

Bravo, CCP, BRAVO!!

Well you are including yourself here. Since you are discussing it down below.

There was no “stealth nerf” though. You likely fitted your ship differently to better combat neuts and either fail to realize that you did or are purposely misleading.

Yeah I’ve definitely been playing the game a lot… Anyway it’s probably just the highly variable nature of these new pve mechanics, you lterally never know what kind of spawn wave you’re gonna get.

I’d be interested to know if that was with the boss spawning with the wave at the same time?

I was playing around with a cyclone FI passive shield fit for funzies. That did absolutely fine on 2 runs of the Blood Raiders when the BS spawned after the waves. But when it spawned with the waves, oh boy, that didn’t go well. It had more thermal resistance but less EM, with over 160/s regen. I got nuked before I could get the BS down, with slightly lower DPS with some overheating.

I wasn’t running boosters though.

Edit: Couldn’t see the DPS properly on the small picture, it’s a bit higher. But then again, I haven’t trained into HAMs much, and it was just for funzies. So I was just curious if you had the boss spawn with the last wave.

Why tho?

Why waste your time playing a game you despise? I’m sure there are other games that you would enjoy more?

It was sarcasm.

They may not lie, but they arent truthful either.

“I wasnt afk, i was just… [afk]”

Tetrimon Boss spawned solo, Gauntlet Boss warped in when there were two ships left from the last wave.

However, with overheating both reppers I am sure I could have survived it for long enough to kill either him or the damagedalers of the wave.

Will try probably try T2 fitted Harbinger next

That is the whole point - the spawns shouldn’t be 100% predictable.

Ah, the one that took out the cyclone warped in with a full wave.

The tank was holding up fine during a wave, I don’t think it went below half, except maybe once or twice while I was clearing the BCs. But a full wave plus the BS was nasty for that fit.

U used passive recharge tank if I got that right, thats pretty convenient to fly but also gives u a huge signature and very little options for overheating your defenses.

It does increase signature radius, but it can be mitigated a little bit with not using a gabillion shield extenders.

I did use one, it bloomed the sig radius from 213 to 276. If I’d not used extenders it’d have been around about the 250 mark, but lower EHP.

The comparison of the two ships is:
Cyclone FI - 31.4k EHP, 347 EHP/s for EM / 39k EHP, 432 EHP/s for Thermal.
Augoror NI - 28.8k EHP, 323 EHP/s for EM / 22.3k EHP, 250 EHP/s for Thermal.

Although I will say I plugged in 100 for the Augoror armour regen, I was getting about 89 hp/s on my fitting window and I just bumped it to 100 for the booster, so that might be wrong as I have no idea what implants you were using.

Which is why I was curious how yours held up against the BS + Wave. The cyclone was just for shits and giggles because that’s a ship I’d used to go roaming for reputation fixing, I just pulled off some of the mid slots and slapped on an extra recharger and amplifier and swapped out to HAMs, despite my horribad skills in them.

No active tanking implants at all. Just the usual rof, tracking, med energy turrets implants. 5% i think, but even with the cheap 3% it wouldn’t have made any difference.

The key is movement and target priority. A cruiser only has 120m signature, the NPCs just won’t apply as much dps as on a 276m sig Battlecruiser. Also I try to move with high transversal, running the AB unless I am triplewebbed anyway.

You know what, I shouldn’t forum before caffeine. Apparently my comprehension goes out of the window pre-PG Tips.

Good info, thanks mate. If you do take it out and get a BS + Full Wave I’d be interested to see how it holds up.

Something good to pass on to corp mates who might not be comfortable throwing a BS at this.

How did I add to the sea of people saying the game is bad? I have a few months of omega (so I support it) but I came with MULTIPLE arguments on how they can fix issues.
