WOW! Just....WOW!

Do you know what an exploit is?..

It’s not what you consider an exploit, but what CCP considers an exploit. All Im asking for is an investigation.

see: Update regarding Multiboxing and input automation - EVE General Discussion - EVE Online Forums

Input Automation
This includes, but isn’t limited to:

• Activation and control of ships and modules
• Navigation and movement within the EVE universe
• Movement of assets and items within the EVE universe
• Interaction with other characters

I was dead before my ship even began to show any signs of getting hit.
The killmails from Concord came immediately one after the other, all 18 of them even before I was completely destroyed. My mailbox wouldn’t stop ringing.

Yes, I suspect input automation.

no.

.

Well it cant hurt to have CCP check it out. Just file a petition. Its suspicious is all, see if they look into it. ?

Warping uncloaked as a High Value Target through the game’s number one ganking choke point. What could go wrong?

Cloak / MWD every time something suspicious hangs on the in-gate (the scanner/tackler) while travelling common routes, then you are 99% safe.

And how would I know that? You know the fancy upgrade CCP gave the jump gates recently? It would be nice if it also displayed the traffic and recent pod kills in the area as well for a visual. That data is available via the map, but why dig through a map when you can easily display a number/color scheme on the jumpgate holograms?

Thanks. Didnt know about that link.

Edit: I like their legend…

Legend:

0 kills at gates in system in the past hour
2 kills or less at gates in system in the past hour
3 kills or more at gates in system in the past hour
smartbomb kills at gates in system in the past hour
hic/dictors used at gates in system in the past hour

Why cant we have this data displayed on the jump gate holograms?

Now you know it. That what mistakes are for. But why is looking at the map difficult (as you appear to know the relevant source)? You are playing a space trucker in this case, so you should plan your route properly.

We assume every route is hostile. and prepare accordingly.

Personally I find the map overly complex and overwhelming when I open it. Besides, maps are so 20th century. No one uses maps anymore IRL. Everything is GPS based…even for truckers. Perhaps EVE needs a mini-map like other MMOs implement on their main screen.

But I get what you are saying.

I do now. Hi-sec is only “hi” in name only as far as I go.

Thought you said you were 8 months into EVE?

Nah, the man just has multibox ganking down to a fine art:

The other 1% is covered by having a pal (or an alt) go through each gate before you, to see if there’s a camp lurking there.

So…you remember when alarmclocking was common in EvE…a time when not only would your fellow players have laughed at you for making mistakes you should or could have avoided, but the game itself would have also (Aura - “hehheh, you clumsy pilot!”)…yet the idea of doing a small bit of looking into things (Uedama being a gankground killzone is not new and I imagine much has been written about it) or the map is confusing?

You puzzle me.

Ah, I see.

I have had the opposite experience when it comes to the EvE community. The EvE community is the best part of this game by far. EvE players are great! Sure there are some that suck- like in any group of humans - but the vast majority are on the ok-to-true muckers scale.

Is it perhaps possible the issue might be you and/or your interactions with the other?

If you decide to leave the game yet again…well that is of course up to you.
I hope you do stick around and adapt yourself to the game - with it’s warts and all - rather than demanding the game be changed to adapt to you. There is fun to be had here and it would seem you sense that or you probably wouldn’t have come back repeatedly over the years.

If, however, you decide to leave I would gratefully accept any isk or items you wish to give me.

I am, see my comment below.

I think the Eve community is more like a girl asking if her dress makes her look fat.

If you come to the forums (or in game) and complain about a loss or want mechanics changed due to your loss, you get the same reaction as telling your girl “yes that dress makes you look fat”.

Had you instead posted your loss and asked “Hey all, what could I have done differently here?”

You would have experienced a significantly large proportion of positive, helpful responses.
Every community has its trolls, so every thread will see some. That said, the eve community will, as a rule, bend over backward to help people wanting to learn and improve.

LOL!!!

I’ll keep that in mind.

Im pretty much a solitary player. If EVE were a real universe, Im not sure what role I would play. I hate depending on others and strive to do as much as I can on my own. Granted, Ive met some nice people online but yes, there you have the trolls.

We are talking about Highsec, there are no camps (anymore)

But I mean, there is never 100% safety, you may lose connection, fall asleep, get distracted, f*up cloak, forgot a killright, bad sec status, …
