By being prepared with some gank nado’s for when the site is due to spawn, they do have to warp in to shoot the thing that drops the item, you just gank them
Its not rocket science

Note to self: learn to read
The other answer is to take the sites on yourself and beat them at their own game. But apparently you think its too much work.
How can you be prepared when you are at work/sleeping because of time zones. It’s like you didnt even read the problem.
You get someone else to do it.
Well then that sucks for you, not everything has to be suitable for every player, and as Seph says, get someone else to gank them, do it enough times and they might stop farming it but either way, sucks to be you
Dude, that may be ok for most everything in the game but all Event Agents such as Cosmos, Epic Arcs, etc are suppose to be available to all who have the required standings for access. If the required item can’t be obtained then the mission can’t be completed which basically makes the character stuck and can’t progress any further.
To remove any chance of farming by players who aren’t running Cosmos, the actual site should only spawn when a character accepts that specific Cosmos mission. Another way to correct the problem is to make the rats in the site respawn every 10 minutes or so, just like all the other static Cosmos Complexes. That will definitely drop the price of the required item and help reduce farming of the site.
Yes, farming static plexes is valid gameplay, but the problem is that the spawn rate of the structure that drops Myrkai’s data chip (currently sold for 2 billions or more on contracts and required to get HG-1008 implant) is buggy as it spawns only twice per day. Ganking the people who camp the spawn is also valid, but who’s to say they aren’t going to gank me once I appear on grid with them with the chip in my cargo? I visited Otomainen yesterday just after downtime and there were already around 10 people in the system.
He is not stuck, he can pay the 2 billion for the item to the clever people who go to the trouble of monopolizing it, which is completely fine. If you don’t like to play a competitive PvP game feel free to play something else.
Timezone exclusives are not competitive.
This is not a case of getting beaten while in the site. This is timezone gameplay which is firmly in the realm of “CCP said you cant win”.
I dont own T2 bpos, shoud I make a thread about that?
All I get from this thread is that it’s too cheap considered the work and trouble involved.
So it’s the opposite of a rip off.
You’re correct. I don’t know what the heck I was looking at.
Reading this thread was a rip-off
Since 2010 I’ve experienced an increase in people who only care about farming …
… perfectly correlating with a decrease in highsec local activity.
The problem here is that what we want … (not a farmer’s game)
… and that what NOW is … *(clearly a farmer’s game)
… is absolutely not the same.
Sorry. EVE`s a game for farmers now. They’re simple minded, easily exploitable and they have loose wallets. Intelligent people don’t, that’s why they’re going the way of the dodo.
