and that was a lie. (by ccp)
also, when people talk about the “scarcity phase” they think of every income-nerf that has been produced by ccp in the last 1-2 years (= alot of nerfs)
when ccp talk about the “scarcity phase” they are talking about: ore. “we might introduce more ore anoms… later… lol.”
yeah, but the multiplies bounties are not higher than a smaller multiplier bounty+loot+salvage = at some sub 100% dbm, the “reward” is the same.
But you run an extremely high risk for ganks to/from and in lowsec, and ess robbery.
even when you are at “equality to lowsec” and below, you still make more isk/hr doing smart bomb farming for escalations then lowsec… and that’s the reason why null % goes to the minimum value
tl;dr. Right now, the dynamic risk modifier is just more risk and less reward.
dbm will be a good game mechanic once the minimum value is increased to 95% and MAX is a lot higher than 200% in lowsec. (with thouse values, i guess the dbm would actully work as ‘intended’)
well, from my experience on the forums, it’s only really the “l33t pvp” pilots who tries to inflate their own egos and dehumanize and insult “null carebears” -“ohh you just a krab so you’r opinions dont matter” bla bla bla … it gets tiresome real fast.
yeah i know… im not one for dehumanize others, but… if i was a butcher id make sure my lambs lived stress free and was fat and juicy. more meat and it taste alot better. Everyone knows that meat butcherd from a stressed animal make the meat taste bad? due to stress hormones etc
Oh it’s all under control, as in a controlled crash… squeezing out every single last cent before the Eve Mothership goes down with mass marketing of Game packs, SP packs, PLEX packs, Ship Skin packs, etc, etc…
Meanwhile a multitude of bugs are allowed to stay active with no work being done to eliminate them. And to top it off even more new bugs get added with each new update. What I find strange is that the Launcher does a new update everyday. Just exactly what files is it updating and why?
I rather doubt CCP paid a bunch of money to produce “EVE for mobile”, and it’s more likely someone else paid them, or at least paid a large percentage of the cost, in order to gain access to the EVE franchise. Regardless, it’s entirely possible that Echoes will be profitable, and it’s not at all certain that it’s production, development, or potential failure will have any discernible impact upon funding for EVE itself.
Most of the things people cry about CCP doing, such as “Greed is Good” or “scarcity” or “nullsec blackout” - they are all great decisions, and it’s the players who are idiots.
I’m sorry to change the subject here, but I was in Dodixie recently and there were just Bowheads and Freighters piled up on gates while multiboxing players took their sweet time getting into warp.
I agree EVE is bloated with AFK carebear trash hiding behind CONCORD, but I’m like literally the most active person who is actually trying to do something about it. The problem isn’t CCP, it’s all the AFK carebear trash farmers who are responsible. Should CCP cater to them less? Absolutely. I’d support turning the entire game into a wormhole no-local no-CONCORD arena of death, but I’ve really got no complaints with CCP.
I don’t agree with every decision, but by and large I think they are a great company and they are doing a great job.
I don’t think the success or failure of some random game has any bearing on EVE. It’s an obvious logical fallacy to presume that any one incident is indicative of another, and there are obviously many complex variables involved. I’m quite sure that if CCP builds a CHALLENGING game, then people who enjoy the challenge will come, and losers who want an easy game are free to leave. Good riddance.
The world has plenty of carebear farm simulators, it’s nice to have at least one game that offers something slightly more engaging (even if it’s imperfect).
Except you need carebear demographics to create isk and move supply into the game, otherwise the game’s economy falls flat on its face.
You folk might either be pathologically suicidal, or abysmally stupid.
Darkfall was a game that died purely because of the same clear and toxic divide between its carebears and pvpers. When the carebears ultimately left for the most part, the game tanked, leaving all the l33t pvpers increasingly dry of equipment and reasons to pvp.
Is this what you want for Eve ?
Either way, the game might not live beyond to see the day of what this scarcity nonsense has to offer, providing all the carebears do come back to the game to inject new supply, and that it will be enough to sustain itself, and that you guys don’t end up moaning too loud about “all them filthy carebears”.
Actually, you don’t. Carebears are entirely expendable. The game has sufficient resource, manufacturing, and market aspects already. Carebears aren’t needed. We don’t need farmers. If someone wants a ship, they will produce it or buy it. All the carebears can die, and prices will go up, but that will be good for CCP because Greed is Good guarantees that elite PvPers will pay top dollar for gold ammunition and purple modules. All the carebear miners could quit the game tommorrow, and we might be playing with cheap frigates, but we will all enjoy the game a lot more without AFK botbears.
CCP has ruined this game systematically over the past 7 years. My play style has been removed also due to nullsec interests and CCP’s support of anything they wish to the detriment and elimination of all other play-styles. Newbros play on the test server to avoid how bad highsec had been become. CCP has eliminated all avenues for the small guys growth and given us a socialist utopia, A game that’s a shell of its former glory. In highsec, we structure bash and only mulitboxers are willing to do it. blah blah blah… ■■■■ you ccp.
