After the Eve Launcher updated itself to version 1657059 (6.3.5), I still have been unable to log in today for several hours. In my timezone, it’s become a wasted day of attempts. The sun has set, I have pressing things to do. Please fix soon, CCP.
Repeated responses:
The login window cannot load, displaying “ERR_CONNECTION_RESET”.
Reload, it takes. Sometimes I can get the account and password to work, but trying to log in fails.
Window 7 Pro, 64-bit
(all game and launcher version are extremely current)
I should be careful with trying to inject some potential optimism here (long painful experience talking, hehe)… but for the last 5 or so minutes, EVE has behaved normally. Number of connections is rising (though very slowly), and i’ve just done a 10 jump journey without even a hint of lag or problem… so crossing fingers for CCP to finally having found the problem.

I have only had one disconnect and no issues connecting, but I’m scared to do much activities due to the issue. Been doing a bit of trading then just logging off for the most part.
My problem apart of not being able to play is that I have no info on what is going on. I mean, tell me who is attacking and why. Usually thse attacks won’t be on a damn game but on Governments or Credits cards company, banks etc.
You won’t be able to point to anything I’ve said here which is ‘rage I am spewing,’ and I challenge you to do it.
I have merely stated the fact that most people believe that if you pay for a service, you should receive the service. It doesn’t matter if you think the service provider is at fault or not, you should receive the service, period, and that is the expectation of most people. For instance, if you buy a plane ticket, and on the day of the flight the airport is closed because a hurricane is landing, or a blizzard struck the airport, or any number of other things, it isn’t the fault of the airline who sold you the ticket. But most people still expect to be ‘made whole.’ And in fact, in situations like this, they are.
Nothing different here. My expectation is that I am ‘made whole.’ I think most other players will have the same expectation. But if you were affected by this and DON’T want to be made whole, and DON’T have that expectation, hey, more power to you. Again, it’s no sweat off my icewater. You live your life, and I’ll live mine.
