Cannot log on at all, chat servers were working not anymore for me now which the last time I got disconnected was when those failed. I’m in the NW part of Indiana so if that information helps at all I’m happy to share it.
Can confirm that using a free VPN (e.g. ProtonVPN) helps with logging in. Wasn’t able to get second character working (logged in, but pretty much immediately disconnected), but one works.
I don’t really believe the whole DDOS thing at this point. CCP should do more explaining. Someone else earlier pointed out the whole click okay and then click the connect thingy. CCP could not even give that advice out earlier. Its like no one on their team could come up with something that sorta works, and they simply repeated what someone on a forum or Reddit said.

As of about ten or so minutes ago, after a bit of fiddling about, all three accounts up with chat and everything. A tiny bit of lag, mostly in querying pilot info from chat. I flew three noob ships to the nearest asteroid belt with the intent of mining a little bit, there were a couple rats about so abandoned my quest and flew the noobs back to base. Thinking about it I should’ve at least traded cannon fire with the rats just to see if that works. Might do that here in a minute. Nothing exotic planned, see how the simple stuff works first. American Southeast.
Weird: Launched the same three noobs with the intent of engaging belt rats, one ship refused to launch, of the two that launched one DC’d but only for a minute or two and then came back on and I ordered him back to base. The third ship stayed alive and returned to base on my orders. OK, so not exactly ready for prime time but CCP might just be doing something really right. Awesome.
Would this constitute a EULA violation? I’ve looked it over, and only see a possibility regarding 7.D (Monitoring). Even with that, I don’t believe using a VPN can be defined as using unauthorized software.
It’ll be temporary it’s because you’ve suddenly logged in from a different IP address which will look like a hacked account/account sale.

Even with the VPN, EVE is running slowly, and I’ve received a couple of disconnects. Able to get back in, and conduct operations that don’t require immediate inputs.

FWIW Neustar is a horrible back end registry that can’t even be bothered to follow ICANN rules: Neustar has destroyed the .BIZ and .US domain name whois service - OnlineDomain.com. If it turns out this is due to Neustar managing DDOS protection in North America it’s simultaneously obvious and baffling.

This is the lack of access that never ends, it just goes on and on my friends.
Managed to log in once today but with all the problems kind of worried to even go out and mine. On the plus side all the people who can get online are shopping in my little corner of the market.

We are currently investigating the issue. In the meantime you could try using a VPN service to get a different connection route to the server. That might let you connect. I’m afraid I can’t give you any specific VPN service however as we do not endorse the use of VPN normally. I’m terribly sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you. You can keep posted on our News page, Twitter or our Communications Center in the forums for more information on this.

I am using VPN routed through Switzerland and no issues. If I go through my local even in VPN I get the chat error. I am located in North America.
yep…i could vpn but going transcontinental introduces too much latency even with a high dollar vpn service…resignation to current situation is all we have available to us which is ok because I can do other things with my life lately as necessary…CST definitely seems to be getting the worst of it from the anecdotal speaking with other people I’m compiling mentally…canada included in that of course…
i wish ccp cared about me being able to play the accounts as much as they care about me paying for them. not a religous guy but here’s a prayer that we wont hit week 2 of not being able to play
I’m sure they care about both…imagine yourself out in the real world expressing this frustration to another human being that doesn’t play an mmo and perhaps put it in perspective for a little bit to alleviate the frustration…not trolling legit trying to help here lol…
