In all honesty he should stay banned,
What he said crossed the line, say stuff like that in real life you lose your job or face equal consequences.
Hope CCP sticks to their guns and draws the line in the sand, seen way too much of this threatening behaviour

I have never heard of any other periods of ban when the initial punishment is handed out. Additionally the initial ban, given the time, was most likely handled by a GM, so was limited by the system in place. I mean he did threaten with Real Life injury, which, even if said in the heat of the moment, is a perma ban. So the ban makes sense based in the current rules.
Now does that mean he is truly perma banned? Come on guys, letās be sensible. Put away the torches and pitchforks. My guess, with time to cool off and proper behavior, Gigx could be back in a few months. So before you all start burning effigies, letās allow this to settle and actually see what happens instead of adding to the drama right away.

Basicly Arty of GooNs and Judge made the deal during a CSM dinner sponsored by CCP.
Fastforward and everyone in GSF/TEST upper chain is salivating at thought of tears this will bring.
After Judge stabs CO2 in the back - together with GIG-X he waits.
Waits for news to spread and Gigx to login. He knows Gigx , he knows the man has no brain/mouth filter and that CO2 means a lot to him, especially the members. So Judge sets up a stream and goes off to provoke Gigx in alliance chat - streaming the whole thing. So close to great prize and reason why he backstabed 4000 player - to get Gigx banned.
So Gigx had about an hour of sleep before SMS arrived with news.
He wakes up, logs in only to see what has become of years of hard work.
What a man he called friend and shared victory and defeat has done ā¦
Judge, his nerv endings hard as a diamond, provokes Gigx and gets what he wants - reason enough to cry to CCP about a death threat. Judge screenshots the conversation and petitions a ticket. Uses his CSM power to escalate the problem. After all he does share meals with actual employees of CCP. And within hours Gigx is is perma banned.
CO2 is dying
4 000 people have their assets locked.
Clones with implants they now have to suicide.
Corps leaving
Corps disbanding
All of this because The Judge wanted revenge. He was disappointed CO2 left Imperium.
Angry that his name is no longer on banners together with Mittani.
Bitter no one looks up to him in awe as a CSM.
He doesnt feel like a God anymore .
So to get that feeling of omnipotence he destroys thousands of EVE players fun.
As Judge said himself:
I pushed a couple of buttons, talked to a couple of people and made something happen." He grins, again: āI guess you could say itās hard to not have a god-complex in EVE.ā

The game is better off when people do not threaten RL people in game.

Relitigating what happened to Mittens is disingenuous at best. He made a joke at Fanfest under a different ruleset. Mittens is the reason the current ruleset exists. After getting back from Fanfest, he made a sincere apology and gave all of his ISK to the player heād harassed. gigxās ban has literally no relation to The Mittaniās ban except in the minds of players.
So far, gigx has only shown remorse because he got banned, not because he thinks what he did was wrong. He threatened Judge on his own character and then again on an alt. And now heās shared his communication from CCP regarding his ban.
The only thing Iām seeing in the pleas for gigx to get unbanned is that there should be no consequence for actions. gigx agreed to ToS when he signed up to play. This is not the first time heās threatened a player in real life. There are chat logs that prove this. He may be a beloved ācontent creatorā but his presence in EVE is harmful to the community and CCP. His ban is a long time coming.

So as a result that TheJudge flipped most of our structures in Impass, kicked the leading corp Balka from CO2 Alliance and has stolen a huge amount of ISK, CO2 will lose Impass and also the war.
Yeah thats EVE and thats why we are still playing that, because nearly everthing could happen.
That action from that one person took a deep impact on our Alliance and also on our great Leader gigX.
So he was in affect overreacting in the Ally Chat towards The Judge due to that incident. Therefore he got the permaban.
On Ally Meeting later that day he already realized his mistake and he appologized for this to everyone in Alliance. He was aware that he took this game to serious in that moment and even in the last months.
My purpose with that petition is, pls CCP get a dialog with gigX and TheJudge.
There should be other solutions or at least a lower retribution.
Keep in mind he lost in one day so much, he already achieved over the last years in CO2.
Also if he is perma banned forever, CO2 will lose a great leader and also EVE lose a great content creator.
Sry for my bad english.
I hope the best for gigX and the right decision of CCP in that case.

Pardon Gigx!
We all say things when we get upset, everyone is guilty of that flaw. He had everything he worked so hard to build taken away, its very understandable that his emotions were out of control. I do feel perma banning him is on the excessive side.
Please reconsider the ban!

believe it or notā¦ but i can just say that gigx is one of the most chilled persons i have ever met in my whole EVE carrier.
ā¦when he doesnāt have to handle with alliancewide stuff, but playing the game as player like you and me.
People are just lying if they say that you donāt feel reallife emotions while sitting behind your monitor playing this game.
Especially when things like this happens to you - from a friend you have trusted for many years about a topic you have worked on for over 10years.
Which makes me feel even more sad that he got baited on his old friend to join the livestream conversation and finally called it out,
because a āfriendā like him knows excatly how you would react in situations like this.
Therefore i can totally understand his anger.
He deserves to be punished - as he also said.
But giving him a permanentban would go too far in my opinion.
With doing this CCP would just destroy their own game.
Just take a look what happened to Serenity (the asian server) and why its dead now.
There was a reason why those asian guys coming over to Tranquility to actually trying to re-enjoy the game.
But sadly i have to say that i am 100% sure that TheJudge will do everything in his power to keep gigx banned.
And we all know from reallife how powerful business relationships can be.
