A mistake made and speaking in the height of anger

Erotica actually did nothing wrong.

All the folks arguing for clemency should consider the position CCP staff are put in if they set a precedent that allows this conduct for ā€œestablished content creatorsā€.

Those folks are then open to fair criticism that they don’t enforce the rules, that they play favorites, that they encourage criminal behaviour by habit of acquiescence.

If I were counsel for CCP, I’d not only advocate a perma ban, I would go much further. I would perma ban the judge, for that entities conduct was contributory to the scandal. I would also investigate the staff associated and fire someone in a management position who consistently demonstrates a lack of clarity on the issue.

You’ll are too soft. If you don’t shoot a few generals every now and again, moral suffers and standards drop.

Mercy for the powerful axiomatically erodes the rule of law. It erodes respect for institutions of authority. If you lack the force of will necessary to enforce rules when they require enforcement, you lack the character to decide when mercy is warranted.

In this case, mercy is out of the question due to the profiles of the folks involved.

I have to ask, do people think gigX should be unbanned despite breaking the EULA after being banned for breaking the EULA and then encouraging his fellow leadership to then further break the EULA (petition bridgading) all because he’s a ā€œContent generatorā€ when he’s actively telling people ā€œWait 20+ days before we do anythingā€

Repeatedly threatening someone and then repeatedly breaking the EULA and supporting the EULA be broken so he can overturn a ban because he broke the EULA?

Get your heads out of the clouds people and stop comparing him to the mittani incident 5 years ago because they are not the same. tia.

read the PC Gamer article, according to it Mittani said they flipped The Judge during a CSM meeting…

Ok if this gigtx guy whoever he is stays banned, The Judge should be removed form the CSM and banned from running for it ever again, seriously its the CSM…

And you are supposed to be working for all the players when at those meetings, not playing back stab hanky pank give a dog bone ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– .

What do you believe The Judge did that would prevent him from functioning as an elected CSM member? What do you think the purpose of the CSM is?

Misconduct in a public office perhaps?

ā€œmisconduct (or misfeasance) in public office is an offence at common law which dates back to the 13th century. … It is confined to those who are public office holders, and is committed when the office holder acts (or neglects to act) in a way that constitutes a breach of the duties of that office.ā€

English law though, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t apply to an Australian (was it?) :upside_down_face: in Iceland.

Or space pixel games come to that.

EDIT: a lesson to any other CEO’s with CSM members on their management team perhaps, maybe remove them from all corporate roles while their members of the CSM… just to be on the safe side.

I’m sorry that an EVE player (The Judge) participates in the Meta-Game while participating in EVE game functions. God forbid a player actually plays the game.

Betrayal and swindling have been in the game since the beginning - deal with it.

Being in the CSM doesn’t mean he’s not allowed to play the game, conduct espionage (also playing the game), or switch alliances (his CSM position is not dependant on him retaining a position in CO2). So there are no grounds here for dismissal from his position.

The ā€œflipā€ happened outside of the actual ā€œmeetingā€, it was during a lunch. So it wasn’t something done at an actual ā€œCSM Meetingā€ it just happened to be while the two were in Iceland together ā€œforā€ one. You’re reading too far into it.

why you even asking? It’s pretty obvious that everybody in Goonswarm just want to see CO2 dead (forced by the Mittani?)
And CO2 plus most of the neutral states just hope for the best that EVE is not going the way it is currently facing.

Co2 claim that gigX is a content generator, telling people to stay docked up for at least 20 days and play other games. - Joe Barbarian - 2017

I want to see Gigx banned, but i’m not GSF (Seriously, hate the CFC). I also wish no ill will toward the line members, but Gigx earned this and needs to accept his punishment. The members of CO2 should also accept the fact that their leader finally went too far (in public, and got caught anyway) and is not likely to return.

All about the coin when people are dealing at the level these guys are.

And you are surprised we wanted to see you dead? Did you think we were joking after the betrayel and that you could come back and live right next door to us and we would just live with it and not do anything?

Really what else can they do?

Banhammer activated. Purge them all.

Hand off the alliance to someone else instead of trying to save gigX

How does that have anything to do with all the line members assets?
