Up till 4 am running fleets. In bed less than an hour and The Judge ■■■■ swiped the Alliance.
I think definitely some sanction, but permabanning all his accounts…surely the circumstances could have been taken into account and this could have been handled differently.
But, I’m not a GM.
At least, with it being made a big issue, PC Gamer has run an article on it already. GG CCP.
not sure what you mean. he was part of the csm - anyone meeting ppl from game IRL should be watched I guess. eve is a game about trust, if you trust someone - that’s on you. if they choose to break your trust maybe you shouldn’t let them have such a long rope. ppl meeting irl could laugh about stuff like this hell why not, imagine all the tears. i’m sure it was none of the intention of the judge for him to actually get caught and banned, it’s just a huge bonus from what ive been reading. if you are a toxic person, its very likely that ppl won’t like you for very long. if I were ceo or head of an alliance, after these shenanigans I would defineatly remove any CSM’ members roles to such control - just to be safe. but I’m just a goon living in a goon moon.
how is making threats IRL making you think that this is a small offense? have you ever had any experience with law / tort or anything in the real world at this point?
Breaks EULA for making IRL threats.
Breaks EULA by posting GM response.
Asks for forgiveness.
Advocates his alliance leaders break the EULA by telling line members to spam CCP to help save him.
Alliance leader then breaks EULA by threatening to punch the judge at fanfest.
the guy didn’t threaten exactly, he used smart words that could be manipulated in a way that it is not an actual threat. might punch someone is different then will punch someone. again in a court of law, all of the laws I know are not the same as in Iceland. however - wherever this gigx is from just talking and asking for info on how to follow through on a crime might be an indictable offense. that guy could be in jail at this point.
“To be honest if i see him at fanfest i might punch him”
Less than 24 hours after your alliance CEO was just banned and all of them were reminded of the EULA and real life threats. There is no heat of the moments of manipulating what was said. This comes from the same person who wants to bombard CCP with spam petitions to save gigX. No respect for the EULA.
I think the big thing is here, is normal ppl know that IRL threats are real, and keep those thoughts to themselves. it’s not right in any way to make real life threats, especially over something insignificant in our society as a video game.
CSM not really sure what that is,But in the end was this good for the game i’m not saying about the ban i’m say that but how meany will quit because of this?He seemed to be in good with CO2 so why switch?
if anyone quits cause they feel that gigx was right in what he did, and should not be punished to the full extent of the law is better off not in my society I call eve online. or the world I live in IRL tbh.
Will quit? I’m new to the game, but I think it’s really cool that you can put yourself in a position of trust, and then totally game of thrones somebody and take all their things.
What is a normal person? You mean, someone from the same culture as you? Someone with the same ideals as you?
He broke the EULA and if there’s one thing we all have in common, it’s that we agree to abide by the EULA. It’s the only thing we can definitely say we all agree on.
So definitely sanction, but me personally, I don’t believe permabanning all his accounts was the appropriate response.
You’re entitled to a different view and great for whatever view you have. Mine differs.
someone who recognizes the world they live in and the society they are part of. not only did he break the EULA, he also broke laws in the majority of countries throughout our society. dont’ you see that he also broke laws ? check your local police department, see what their reaction would be if you threatened to cut off someones hands, then asked ppl for details on how to find said person. make sure they know this is for a social experiment and totally hypothetical if you live in north America or any other place pretty much.
You know what I wrote is in timeline order right? And gigX has been smeared all over news sites as being a toxic player so CCP can’t turn back on their ban, if they did they would be the laughing stock of every single gaming news outlets known to gamer kind.
