Nonsense. You already have ways to avoid being ganked and which don’t cost you 20 freighters. Gankers would only remember your name and simply prey on somebody else, because they’re after the inexperienced players. They already let those pass who play smart.

Maybe make it chance based? Each cargo scan you have an ‘X’ % chance of becoming suspect.
Well just a random idea but thought I drop it in for discussion.
I just feel a guaranteed suspect flag for each scan is too much even if it is obvious scanner alts will just use corvettes only fitted with a cargo scanner or some such measure to reduce risk / losses.

I have seen you post in a couple of other threads, I think I liked a couple of your posts, you post intelligently and put thought into them, so I was kinda surprised by that.
I like the idea of the cans very much it seems to work well with BR’s, but I would not make a cargo scanner or ship scanner go suspect.
I wish this forum had private messaging enabled. CCP I’m looking at you! 
So far I have not seen a valid reason why this scanner should be changed at all. They have various uses, piracy is the just the obvious one but also a very valid one.
It’s not like this will stop Freighters from getting exploded. The only thing that will change is that it mixes the smart people who don’t overload their Freighter in with the guy who just stuffs 20bil into one run.
Obviously the only motivation Drac has to play the cheerleader for this change is because of his white knight desire to ■■■■ on the pirates via fiat-CCP because he can’t do anything about it in-game. He thinks this will lower the income because they can’t pick the valuable targets which will probably be right.
