I don’t think they are allowed to talk to us, but i’m sure they are reading.
My experience and thoughts about Abyssal space (A-Space or T-space?):
-
T4 and T5 Dark Filament space, with 50% speed buff, can be very difficult in many scenarios even for the most powerful ships, while fighting Triglavians. For example, the Vedmaks will orbit at optimal distance with near 2500 m/s by stacking dps, while frigates will neut similarly with even higher speed. This will make difficulties in using active tank models and available propulsion modules (to speed tank and stay away from their optimal). The space debuff will reduce the dps for almost all types of combat vessels like Turret, Drone or Missile, by making too hard to finish the encounter in time (20mins). Only one Triglavian fleet per encounter can be doable, but to engage similar Triglavian fleets in each pocket will make it impossible due to the time limit;
-
Rats should be different. It’s kind of boring to see or a swarm of drones, or a single BS, or a ‘Burner’ Triglavian fleet. Moreover, due to those buffs and Triglavian Stations, some encounters are just too easy, while others are too OP;
-
The Abyssal background music is too boring and gloom. Mainly all combat soundtracks aren’t good compared to normal ones. Make the checkbox to work properly by disabling combat music at all;
-
Gas Clouds, in my opinion, are just too close to the operation grid. It makes them looking a way to unreal, artificial or ‘arcade synthetic’. The clouds should be situated far, around or behind big space objects, and they must be bigger.
-
There’ll be a nice idea to make the surrounding objects to look bigger, greater and differently. Space RNG generator isn’t so RNG, because I encountered like 7 different Abyssal environments, each pocket of which was similar to the image below (and that looks ok compared to others, because a planet is visible in the background):
Here’s an example below (Firestorm), I’d encountered, which was interesting and fun to be in
-
General Space. Looks interesting with cool visual effects, but it is missing some deep space sense on overview, compared to many Abyssal pockets. When I launched EVE firstly, I had the greatest impression seeing its deep space overviews - a feeling that I’m really in a very big space. Planets, system Star, far Stars, Constellations and Nebulae overview changes distantly. Some of the current Abyssal pockets looks very small, compressed, like I’m in a bathhouse.
Pretty good fit. I used it on an F4 Gamma. Triglav with 2 vedmaks and 6+ Demaviks (Webs). Drifters with web. Drone swarm last. Made it out clicking the last gate 5 seconds after timer expired, without my drones.
The Chaotic Dark in it’s current iteration is not able to be completed.
they move so fast they are outrunning drones, mitigating most of the missile damage. They cant even track you so they do 0 damage, you get neuted out to 0 but there is no incoming damage to tank. It took me 14m30secs to kill that wave and the 2nd room was a battleship spawn so at that point I self destructed.
I basically gave up any testing in dark matter field after trigs were added even in the other sites it’s just not worth it.
As far as hits a vedmak will hit between 300 and 600 on average biggest vedmak spawn I ever saw was 6 those hits are every 5 sec application is nearly perfect.
Now if we compare to drifter group a single drifter cruiser will poke you between 80 to 150 highest drifter count I’ve seen was 12 they also got bad tracking 1/4 of what vedmaks got.The drifter bs if in optimal will poke you for about what 1 vedmak does not counting wrecking hits.
So the applied dps is way out of balance here I’m sure on paper the numbers may be even for both but in reality it’s way different
They must have nuked Mutaplasmid drop rates to ash, because I haven’t seen any in 8 sites?
The only way I know of how to do Darks is in a very fast cap stable ship. Either speed bonused ship with AB, or mwd turret ship. Kite them so they have low transversal. The problem os you run out of space really fast. Before turning, you need to get some extra buffer room. However, i prefer kiting in electrics because it means the MWD is cap stable without having to dedicate any cap modules, AND the rats also have a damage hole to exploit so you can run them faster.
Kiting IS KING… Doing F4 Electric, so I can MWD and be cap stable, and taking so little damage.
I’m running F4 Electric with this, and working well so far. I have to be careful not to run out of repair paste reps. Recommendations would be appreciated.
(Use appropriate implants.)

I’d go for a 2nd bcu instead of the guidance enhancer
(It kills them quick, though, already.) Thanks, I’ll try that and see if better. In the mean time, this looks like it’ll be fun to test in an electric. (Wish there were weapon rigs/implants for it…) It ramps up to a total of 700 DPS at 30km, going 2km/second.

Seems one of the best ways to go about enhancing the passive gila is doing tier 1 2 3 4 rolling large shield extenders for near max shield hp then it should be almost perfect for t5.
Also theorycrafted a rather unorthodox gila fit that I need to test.
There is 1 room with the giant white rock formations where you can end up spawning slightly inside an asteroid can anyone please move that thing away please?
@Rexxar_Santaro Those gas clouds as supposed to be on grid they provide additional effects, eg large sig increases or reduction in rep amount
Some interesting numbers as far as files:
Drone bs dps:590ish-tier5
Drifter bs dps-500-tier5
Drifter cruisers dps-40-tier5
Vedmak dps-198-tier5(not spooled up)
Demaviks dps-30ish-tier5
Drone swarm dps-1000ish-tier5(20 dps drones)
A 12 drifter group plus bs is 980 dps a large drone swarm about 1000.
3 vedmak(not charged)+6 demaviks-774 dps,charged 1548
4 vedmak+6 demaviks–972,charged 1944
6vedmak+1 demavik-1218,charged 2436
Neuting:
Vedmak 30cap/sec
Demavik 18 cap/sec
Drifter cruiser 20 cap/sec
Takes 1 min for a vedmak to charge to 60% 1min 40sec to max.
I think the dmg modifier should be reduced to 7 from 10 for vedmaks demavik is fine
It’ll bring us to:
3vedmak+6demavik-594 charged-1188
4vedmak+6 demavik-732 charged-1464
6vedmak+1demavik 858 charged 1716
Even so charged dps is quite high
U r doin an awesome work my friend
TY ^^
I hope your not right with the mutaplasmid drop rate even with old spawn rate the chances of getting a good roll was rediuclasly low. I made 2 container’s 1 for bad rolls 1 for good I had 8 good rolls in the good and about 120-150 bad’s lol.
If this is the case any good roll will cost billion’s and we will not really be using them much at all.
again, read 1st dev post
They said that loot table boosted on test server, now it says
O i see first time was just so we can test quickly, interesting.
Aha! I didn’t noticed any of their effects. Only those Triglavian structures doing something in 10km range. Anyway, it will be cool to implement not only buffing or damaging clouds, but visual environmental clouds also.
A well fitted passive Gila works well for almost all of those variants, exception Chaotic Dark. She has low default speed and dps for specific scenario. New Drifters neuts pretty well. I’m looking at Caldari T2 Assault Cruisers vs Triglavians. They have good default Thermal and Explosive resistances with abilities to built a passive fit - Turret or Missile.
Just wanted to chime in and say we are still reading feedback here, and discussing and making notes of the issues and balancing concerns being talked about. Thanks everyone for continuing to provide helpful information about the encounters you have been up against.
