Abyssal Deadspace now live on Singularity for testing

I think a quick rundown of the different weather effects and how it influences site times as well as potential ship choices below is necesary to point out.

Dark matter field speed increase is more of a penalty than a benefit currently for players especialy in higher tier sites coupled with turret optimal penalty means your tracking is worse and so is your damage projection
Electrical storm capacitor recharge is definately a straight forward bonus while the minus em resistance is both a penalty but also a bonus as is this environment is probably the easiest to run sites in.
Exotic particle storm scan resolution does absolutely nothing for a cruiser as we don’t need it to lock things up faster on the other hand the minus kinetic bonus is again both a bonus and a penalty overall this site type falls somewhere in a neutral state as far as being fair or not.
Gamma-ray afterglow shield hp increase is a slight penalty but also a buff for certain ships focusing on shields such as the passive regen gila or offering a slight buffer to ships like the vagabond which do well in this environment the minus explosive penalty is again a buff and a penalty, also to note here rats have shields too but not as much as the next site type on the list :disappointed_relieved:
Plasma firestorm along with dark matter field currently the worst environments for any ships the armor hp bonus maybe it was intended as a bonus but it is a huge penalty since most rats have more armor than shield for example a vedmak has no shield yet 8000 armor base a drone battleship has some 30k armor but only around 15k shields any new upcoming triglavian rats will also be armor, the thermal resistance reduction is a slight buff but opens up a resistance hole for npcs like vedmaks with their high rush style dps.

Just ran a redesigned ishtar fit through a firestorm tier5 1st room drone bs 2nd room bs plus support 3rd room vedmak group made up of 2 neut vedmaks 1 dps and 3 neut demaviks aswel as around 4-5 support demaviks with tds and just dmg.

Now all I got to say is the devs are a bunch of rly funny people predesigning the engagement with such a thought process behind the vedmak engagement altho heavy heavy on neuting i basicly almost got neuted out 4-5times the engagement went amazingly well altho would’ve been a piece of cake if i had a faction web all in all my only concern was grinding the ehp i ended up dying just as i was going through the exit gate back to surface.

Apart from a pwg implant no other implants would’ve been needed had a standard exile drug in effect tho.

Dark matter field tier 5 rlml cerberus 1st room vedmak+demavik group 4 vedmaks altho i had changed my tank to acomodate for this group their own speed broke most of their tracking so tanking wasn’t really necesary,2nd room drifters neut cruiser & scram cruisers plus drifter bs-ammo reloads were a pain and i wish i brought missile implants even 5% light missile dmg would’ve saved dozens of seconds in the end but the drifters died in a decent amount of time, last room drone swarm unfortunately the swarm was buged but i managed to destroy them and finish the site with about 3 mins left had they functioned i prob still would’ve had 1 min to escape.

I’m finding calm gamma (frig’s) Don’t move they sit at 0 velocity

These new stat’s are much more reasonable :] on the muta’s, also like how you get a lot more resources crysta iso 10 and zero-p’s makes doing the harder sites much more worthwhile.

Also the +1 AF(with a chance of more) (abyssal filament) same level or +1 per run is great as well cant be unlucky and run out, without dying.

Hate when shield booster gets stuck in red flashy and you cant switch it off to manage cap -_-

yes drone swarms haven’t worked for nearly 36 hours now could be just to gather data on how players do against other spawns since this one is easiest.

There seems to be a bug with abyssal space timer. If you log off or lose connection while in abyssal space, and come back in time, you will no longer see the destruction timer. Unless you remember the time, when you entered the pocket, then you lose information about the time left.

Vagabond (Higher tracking build): (No drugs/implant’s) Chaotic gamma (f5) last room had vedmak group 4x web, died before killing all 4 webbing cruiser’s (no chance to outrun them with small arena so have to tank it) will try a more tanky fit next.

2nd run 2nd room against Drifter BS + webber cruiser’s, damn hard BS was in range of +60% tracking pilot hit like a monster, was lucky enough to burn out of range in time and kill off cruiser’s and come back in almost dying a 2nd time but managed to find a angular velocity sweet spot that it struggled to land hit’s at. (Had a standard blue pill this time and better tank luckily.)

Only 87 Zero-P loot in a f5 compared to 60 in a f3 was hoping the ratio was higher (f5 is a lot more dangerous than f3) but at least a lot more bpc’s in a f5. (But maybe its for the best so that it doesn’t become devalued too quickly in case someone find’s that magic fit that can run 5’s easily.)

Very very low mutagen drop rate havn’t seen any in f5 yet but found 1 on my first f1 run lol (maybe too small sample size will run more.) (ran lot’s more still super low drop rate)

Muta’s being this rare are going to cost a fortune, and be way to impractical to use “Sadface”.

If you want the Data sites to be worth anything, doing abyssal sites should not be self-sustaining. If the average number of filaments dropped on one run is greater than 1, they won’t be worth anything and data site loot will be worthless.

The current droprate of mutagens is way too low - is it a bug or supposed to be that way?

Data sites have other things going for it thou, didn’t realize data dropped these as well, will test.

LOL WTF is that

A popular meme. I didn’t want to link the audio version in case anyone gets offended, but search Youtube for “Welcome to the Rice Field”. Based on the reported mutaplasmid drops, running Abyssal pockets should be about on par with rice farming…

Alway’s nice to have more collector’s item’s for the shelf thou  like the enforcer wonder if anyone actually uses it. If someone is unlucky enough to undock it, code will show them quickly why its a collectible

Are you sure it was the cruisers webing? So far all the ewar was on demaviks cruisers had neut or no neut and that’s it

So far they have either web/scram/neut from what I have seen and those web’s are brutal…

Yea but that’s demaviks they also can have tracking disruptors

The icon is same for both so it can be misleading if its a frigate or cruiser

It’s web,scram,neut,td,normal for demaviks

Neut and normal for vedmaks

Regardless the spawn and it’s variations are a sort of fitting test that gets thrown into the mix to break certain fits or playstyles such as mwd kiting even if you beat 1 vedmak group once there’s no telling you’ll beat the next one because it’s designed as a whole to be an antikiting tool

No they where cruisers lol, they had a crap ton of tank.

At what range did they web?

Cant remember 100% I think it was 8k

That’s no issue then even if it was cruisers which I’m still skeptical about as I had 2-3 vedmak fights yesterday evening about 12h ago and cruisers didn’t web,but even if their behaviour was changed to web when brawling doesn’t affect the approach to the fight.

Try to learn as much as you can from every engagement even if it’s certain you’ll lose the ship

I’ll have to look more closely at tier5 loot drops tonight.
Like I mentioned before ship bpcs and faction disintegrators will be the best rewards not plasmids or ship components since components can be farmed in relative safety of lower tier sites and plasmids are dice roll dependant.

Quite a while ago I stoped busting the bioadaptive caches since was more interested in the npcs but with launch date for TQ geting closer day by day I’ll have to figure out if it’s worth investing in fits/pods for tier5 or stay at a safer tier with okish rewards and less investment in gear.
