Abyssal Deadspace now live on Singularity for testing

i got them to in a tier 3 and in a tier 2, and in a tier 2 5 leshak and one demavaik

Ugh so any predefined approach to spawns must be out the window with their comps mixing up

@Dark_Engraver Could you start up a new thread under PvE Ships and Modules so we can start posting fits weā€™ve theory-crafted and tested?

The random nature of the spawns is entirely the problem here. Itā€™s not just that the comp of the Triglavians can be different . . . it might not even be Triglavians. It might be Drifters. Or Drones.

Now I think that the randomness adds an interesting element. You are ā€œforcedā€ to omni tank for the damage because those three potential NPC types are completely different in their damage dealing profile, unlike most PvE content in Eve. Thatā€™s new and different and not bad. However, in doing this, you must also set the bar much lower because of the very random nature.

There is absolutely NOTHING more infuriating than walking in to a situation and being totally invested - no way out - and knowing within 15 seconds that youā€™ve lost. Oh, itā€™s 20 minutes before the actual loss happens, but you often KNOW immediately upon entering the first pocket that itā€™s a loss.

But because of random randomness nothing works atleast I donā€™t call barely making it out it half structure or whatever working

Maybe wait until it gets closer to 29th

I think the only ships that half a half decent chance at making it out are Heavy Assault Cruisers. The Gila delivers enough damage but I donā€™t think you can passive tank it enough. Iā€™m also wondering which is going to be better: shield or armor tank.

I pointed this out earlier, and it seems super clear to me that armor tanked ships have a huge advantage in this content. Remember, three of your mid slots are already committed before you even start talking about a tank: Prop, Web, Cap. Take three mids away from pretty much any shield tanked ship and you have severely if not fatally gimped itā€™s tank.

Even a ā€œpassiveā€ Gila isnā€™t going to work at some point. Sure, you can get a Gila to 500 EHP/s passive. But itā€™s not truly passive since you need Invuls. As soon as that Gila gets neutā€™ed out, his tank is crap. You need the cap injector, which breaks the passive tank as well.

I just donā€™t see much potential for shield tanking here.

Now, keep in mind, this is what CCP wanted. They wanted PvE that was more like PvP. Well, theyā€™re getting it. Shield tanking is generally less prevalent in PvP combat, for the very reasons weā€™re seeing here. In PvP, you need Prop, Web and/or Scram and Cap.

Armor because of prop, injector, web and then you add td aswel

Has anyone tried a 100MN afterburner fit?

Nah shield is fine in pvp cuz you can kite and go buffer only here you need active tank and more resist than your everyday pvp fit.Kiting works in abysal too until you meet like 4-5 anchoring demaviks and they scram you and bye bye

Yup rats hit you quite fine with it

Didnā€™t try something silly like 100mn and phantasm tho

That could be fun. Do you have enough tracking though?

I think Iā€™m going to try a ship scanner on some leshak rr spawns maybe I get some inspiration I keep thinking sentry ishtar but lose drones on an earlier wave and you can die and whatā€™s even a safe drone composition then? 6 heavy 6 sentry 10ish lights?

I might screw around with the Phantasm. On paper I should be able to get well over 3500 m/s.

I set my keep at range for 300kmā€™s and as I land mwd/afterburner turns on and im keeping range from the first rat while I scope out the environment otherwise those thingā€™s are on you in a second and its gg lol.

I have a feeling the phantasm is one ship that would actually do well, no time to try thou T_T. Ratā€™s are trying to scram and web, tooo bad suckers! burns away.

I worked out for myself a really sweet Munnin and Cerberus fits that can crank L1 and L2s. But they completely break down on L3s when the amount of NPC ships increases.

On cerberus RHML it takes too long to kill the little ones, frigs and drones and obviously I canā€™t use Automata Supressors cause its missle dependant. So I die to timer. This is running missle precision implants + comp with precision script + 2 rigor rigs.

Same Cerberus fit but with RLMLs instead of RHMLs, dies to timer due to the 35 second reload times on the RLMLs.

On Munnin, I used tracking implants tracking comp with script, tracking rig, 1x T2 web and autocannons for around 80ish tracking + the web. Couldnā€™t hit the drones and frigates relaibly enough. Even when I webbed them, I had to string them to hit thus losing time and dying to timer. Also it was RNG spawn dependant vs drone swarms requiring a Supressor structure to kill them in a timely manner. I even tried smartbombs, but while that took care of the frigs and drones, it completely borked me vs battleships.

I havenā€™t tried Ishtar because of the range on the Heavy Automata Supressors and small instance size. They just cover too wide of an area for me to be comfortable using drones. And with as much drone agro as I got on Gila, I figured sentries will be even worse and die 10x faster cause theyā€™re stationary.

Sacrilege I tried, did pretty horrible. It has a really sweet built in tank so I would have loved for this ship to work, but the missle / drone combo is kinda horrible on it when I ran into an instance with 3x Automata Supressor structure, 2 of which were heavy. The whole ship basically gets shut down for the pocket.

I havenā€™t tried any of the hybrid or laser ACs cause couldnā€™t get fits set up correctly for range, tracking, tank with enough cap leftover. Exception being electrical, but I wanna do more then just being stuck on electrical for eternity.

Guys with ccp only having 1 more week to fix all the issues, do you guys think its going to disaster?

I donā€™t see how they can address all of the shortcomings in less than a week, no.

I do
Here : is my easy fix suggestion.. No hardcore rebalancing needed.

Never going to happen in less than a week. Whatā€™s most likely is that theyā€™ll release it as is, wait for the inevitable outcry and then nerf the difficulty after a few weeks.
